That said, the wings are great. Their 'fire in the hole' sauce is incredible and will satisfy the most reddit of all spicefags

Lemon pepper but a local place makes fire in the hole (left) and spicy garlic parmesan and they are both incredible

Anybody else like to twist and pull the bones out of the flats to have a perfect nugget of only meat?

I prefer flats but never order just flats. Drums are okay and having a variety is better

I agree that flats are better, but I prefer a mix. Having only one kind gets boring.

I like them spicy, but only if they have flavor. Really hot buffalo is no good

I have experienced this as well, usually with wings the restaurant claims are super spicy but are actually just regular buffalo. Pic related, however, are spicy as tits and are my favorite wings. Spice AND flavor, not just astringent, vinegary buffalo

Worked at KFC around 2003 when they had "Wing Works" and I was in charge of that whole station. Bone in and boneless wings, 7 different sauces, seasoned waffle fries, mozzarella sticks, apple pie minis. The golden age of KFC in my opinion.

Best wings I've had are fire-in-the-hole wings from a place called Pluckers. Very spicy, but also very flavorful. Not just astringent buffalo spiciness, but a medley of pepper flavor. Pic related

We're talking wings here. Of course you can get boneless thighs with skin on.at the grocery store, but what restaurant is serving a boneless wing with skin on it? It's not "rare", it's non-existant you dumbuck. You are trying way too hard here.

I prefer bone-in wings over boneless because I prefer chicken skin over breading

About once a month I get the hottest wings from a local place. Pic related, on the left. I can only handle 5 or maybe 10 of them, but they have a challenge where you have to eat 25 of them. Might give it a shot one day as long as they don't make a spectacle out of me.

I don't know what peppers are in the sauce, but the reason I like them is because they actually have a good flavor instead of just astringent, unpleasant heat. I'm not really a hotfag and typically don't seek out super spicy foods/sauces. But these wings keep me coming back

When I grill wings I like to season them with black pepper and Weber Kickin Chicken seasoning then brush buffalo sauce on them. Not really unorthodox but most peoole that try them say they have a unique flavor. Pic tangentially related

This looks great to me. Your chicken thigh includes the choicest morsel on the bird - the parsons nose.

I had some very spicy wings tonight at a place called Pluckers in Austin, TX
