When I came back from Japan and used Japanese pronunciation for Japanese food my big sis made fun of me.

Kakigoori.

Kakigoori (shaved ice) but with blueberries! Blueberries aren't so common a topping. This was from a local traditional sweets shop, right next door to Buisness Hotel Sunpu where I put up my family when they came to visit.

What new foods have you introduced people to? How did they react?
I introduced my sister to kakigoori (Japanese shaved ice) which she went fucking crazy for.
I took my brother to try okonomiyaki which he had never heard of. He really liked it!
I've just shown my coworkers masala dosa, which none of them had ever heard of and they are excited to try.
Sharing good food is fun!
