it just relaxes you distracts you from thinking about the past, smoking apparently does the same but i've never tried it for the same reason you've never drank.

Fact is when you stop drinking your body's chemical balance normalises and you can relax easily without it. that's why i only drink energy drinks now but the tempation remains to have vodka with it unfortunately :(

This is why most middle age people drink less for each session, and only on weekends. my dad only drinks like half a bottle of wine and he's a pretty big guy (2 meters)
