Of all the gal-pals I've known over the years only 3 knew how to actually use a kitchen and cook. Most had a go-to dish like matzo-ball soup or boxed mac & cheese and would eat out the rest of the time. The rest of us poor fags (most of us dudes and some gals) either had family recipes or learned from reading and would pool together to make bomb-ass dishes on the economical side.
