OP here. If those companies in California manage to make a really good meat substitute then I would definitely try it, as long as it's the same sort of cost as meat. If it's more expensive then forget it.

But anyway. Is it really not sustainable? Global warming is predicted to make currently-cold areas better for crop growth. Pic related, look at the green areas. Source is on the image, Nat Geo. And if we just use solar panels and electric cars then we'll be fine, right?
