This board loves all alliums, OP.
I brought some ramps home with me after visiting my parents last weekend. Gonna grow them for a bit in a pot and then transplant them to the local forests since I haven't been able to find any where I live now.

The guy probably just said something like "Yeah, I can't be bothered hauling a bag of dandelions back home but I like to take a walk by the bramblepatch and snack on the berries" and this is what popped up in her deranged head.

I myself also snack on berries, as does my dog, and I used to grab some wild garlic sometimes for stew or whatever. Haven't found a good patch of those near my new town, sadly.
Been thinking of going back to the old place and digging up some so I can have a patch in a local forest here next year actually. It would take all day, though.

I also pick a bucketful of sloe every year for sloe gin and homebrewed beer.

Where I used to live, there was a forest whose floor got completely covered in wild garlic evry year.
I haven't found something like that where I live now, sadly. Maybe I should go back to my old town and just bring some plants with me to the new place.

Here is wild garlic I picked a Summer or two ago.

Not much to forage where I live now, but I pick a few apples and blackberries when they're in season, and loads of wild garlic in Summer.

Not much foraging where I live now. Used to pick absolute fuckloads of blackberries and elderberries at my old place.
I did find a really good spot for allium ursinum this Summer, though. I'll be going back for more next year.

I could pick stinging nettles too I suppose. Never really tried those.

Found a place just the other day with an absolute fuckton of that growing. Been eating a lot of it.
When it's raw it has the flavour tones of onions or chives, but steamed it tastes more like steamed celeriac tops. It's great.
