>about eight minutes later when I am about to nope the fuck out of there we see the side door open
>the lady comes out with the cop
>my heart stops beating
>they walk out to the car and the cop taps on my window
>roommate has also casually ceased to acknowledge his surroundings at all
>the drivethrough lady hands us the food and the reciept and tells us good night
>the cop says nothing and escorts her back inside

turns out the place got robbed and a cashier got shot two days prior so they had heightened security on night shifts and I was just being a paranoid faggot.
