Ozfag here.

Having heard a lot about them on /ck/ I have recently been trying a whole bunch of American hot sauces to determine for myself which ones are the best.

After going through all the typical ones like Franks, Louisiana and Valentina I have been really surprised at how little heat they have. All of them are so dominated by vinegar that you can barely taste anything else. I want my hot sauce to be hot, not just red vinegar.

Thus I have to say that for me, its Sriracha all the way. It might not be the spiciest but its a fuck tonne spicier than American ones and isn't overpowered by vinegar.
