per capita, we have more michelin star restaurants than the US. we still lose to france and japan though. Mainly because the japanese never sleep, and reproduce by budding, and the french give the awards out. Either way, the stereotype of shitty british food hasn't been true since about 1990, when we started to give a shit.

>live in UK university halls of residency.
>everyone has own room/bathroom, but we share kitchen/lounge.
>Two fridges, one for the 3 girls, one for the 3 guys.
>one of the guys is bulgarian.
>come back from lecture one day, and find our fridge literally half full with about 40 packs of fucking sliced leerdammer cheese.
>ask him why he bought so fucking much.
>He just says "it was on sale, and I like it".
>me and the other guys face when the bulgarian and his friends ate about 20lbs of sliced cheese in under 2 weeks.
He also refused to call the zimbabwean girl who lived on the floor below us anything but "the black panther".
