I don't drink beer often, I usually prefer wine, but decided to try craft beer for once to see what the years of memeing was all about.
Ordered a 'tasting package' of Bavadian Craft Beer - allegedly some of the best beer in the world, seeveral bottles have a 'winner world beer awards' sticker anyways. Let's see:
>Obergärig Hell
This is just regular beer you can get at any store, it tastes like the idear of 'beer flavor' if that makes sense. Of course it costs 5x though. Not a great start.
>German Pale Ale
It's okay, another beery beer but with some nice subtle flavors. Would buy this at the store if it was a regular brand with a reasonable price.
>India Pale Ale
Awful. I actually laughed out loud after the first sip since they decided to slap the 'world's best beer' sticker on this one in particular. Regular beer but with a bad aftertaste.
>Imperial Stout
First one that actually tastes good. Similar to Guiness but minus the unpleasant flavors, it also has a noticeable level of viscosity which gives it a very rich mouthfeel. Would definitely drink again and worth the pricetag for being a different experience.
