A while ago I met a woman, a grown woman, who actually said "boop the snoot" aloud when she petted my dog.

You can like bacon while still wanting to punch people who "meme" about it for example.
Other examples would be Rick & Morty and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Decent enough show and book but the fans are insufferable shits.
