Let me guess; the article goes on to kvetch about how self-scanning is racist.

I fucking hate this culture of searching for something by which to be offended. I used to shop late at night at a 24-hour store because I worked odd hours as a nurse and they do spot checks on your pockets at the exit pretty often because it was in a shitty part of the city. I didn't have anything in my pockets and after the second time it happened I realised it was routine so I knew I could just go somewhere else if I didn't like it.
Fucking hate this victim culture bullshit.

I rarely use the self scan because I'm old fashioned, but if there's a line at the regular tills I might.
