More flavour, and as easy as rice. I usually just cook it, then add a flaked canned mackerel with the oil, shitloads of paprika powder or cumin, onions and some dashi powder as msg.

By the way, they made mustard in the past (till the middle ages) using something different from vinegar, though this was mostly for price reasons. Forgot the name and Wikipedia has a hole when it comes to this. Anybody knows what it was ? And I know there are still companies making it that way, but it's a dying art.
