i can't fathom how someone would distort the pronunciation of a common word, a word that they use in every day conversation, simply to force a rhyme that doesn't exist.

it just hurts my brain. PIECES. you know how to pronounce the word 'piece' and it's obvious that the name of the candy is supposed to be a rhyme, so wouldn't common logic dictate the first word must be pronounced the same as the second? even if you have never heard the name reese, context clues and the fact that you know how to fucking pronounce 'pieces' should be enough.

i can't get my goddamn head around it. i work at a movie theater and literally 95% of customers who order them say "reesee peecees".
