I don't want to say I feel sorry for you because you cannot taste delicious foods we have, I would be very annoying; but I'd like to invite every people to enjoy Italy and its culture, despite all of the true problems we have.

Of course, I admit it: Italians are very proud of their cousine, but not all every Italian can cook well nor cook good pizzas. There are many pizzerias I would never visit again.
There are even regional differences between pizzas, so that a person used to eating "Sicilian pizza" find the Tuscan or Roman one too thin; a Tuscanian could say that Neapolitan ones are too "big and stuffed".

But the point is: local people will surely tell you the best place where to eat, because the only thing an Italian cannot stand is eating bad.

Is pineapple in pizza a thing in America? Sweet pizzas are rare in Italy, and they usually are the cooked dough with nutella or with apples and sugar.

Every "soft" cheese is pretty bad with a calzone, because it doesn't cook properly in it. That's why mozzarella di bufala is never used neither stracchino is. Yesterday I ate a calzone stracchino and salsiccia(sausage) and it was moist.

We use mozzarella di bufala when it is asked; otherwise a kind of cheese very similar to it(it's called "pizza-intended mozzarella)

Ragù is just meat sauce with carrots, celery, onion, oil, pepper.
First you brown the "soffritto"(carrots, celery, pepper, onion, or sweet onion, oil salt and pepper)
Add slowly the meat; when all is browned, add tomato sauce.

Pasta aglio olio e peperoncino is literally the simplest dish in Italian cousine. It only requires oil, garlic and pepper. Cook the pasta and put the aforementioned ingredients while it is cooking.
