For the past two years on /ck/ we have had the "/ck/ Challenge". It is essentially a cooking competition somewhat inspired by Iron Chef, which also spun-off Masterchef, others, and the like.

The original host(s) of the challenge have decided to not repeat the experience this year, however, there is still a strong and repeated interest in it.

I don't really mind hosting it, but the community has grown substantially during the past years, and while I drafted the website for it, I just don't have the energy to code it right now.

I'd just like your help to test this form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1AwwtAJiIjtGiIGAauKcBnqtk7KP_5mf6gIJXbHbJrhU/viewform

I'd like to see if I can work out winners from something so simple, and basic rules from it.

Anybody got the /ck/ Challenge logos from last time, I want to run a test.

I drafted the website for it, but I just don't have the energy to code it right now.

Maybe I will, I don't know, but I can't foot the bill for prizes. There won't be none this round, unless people send money for it, but because of the nature of the game, I don't want to get sued for running an illegal gambling site.

I don't mind hosting a short test round, but I don't have the energy to set-up the whole shebang right now.

I was planning to do one in early/mid February, but if I do it right now, the scoring will work with something like this:

There are, like, 130 kcal in a 12 oz. beer. That's about enough to get you from your bed to your car.

I do it all the time, I've actually done it for the best part of the past year.

It's not super bad, but it's not super good, either.

Ethanol is also poisonous. I don't encourage it.

Brine impairs bacterial growth, and to some extent, destroys existing microorganisms within the mixture.

You could re-use the brine, but the balance would be altered. Some sodium and acidic molecules, among others, will be removed from it. It's like trying to pickle cucumbers in leftover pickle juice, some salt and vinegar was removed from it and was eaten along the cucumbers.

Sardines, anchovies, and George Foreman grills.

It's really sad.

I think there are already ten threads mentioning the George Foreman Grill™.

Please cut it out.

There is pickled meat, but it's like tongue and things like that.

You can pickle a lot of things, a lot of things don't even need to be canned to get the vinegary taste.

I'm sure you've seen pickled beets, onions, olives...those are all pickles. It was a way to preserve vegetables for the winter season, but it ends up being somewhat tasty, or at least, vinegary.

I guess it was a change from meat and potatoes and things like that, the crunch must've been satisfying or something.

I'm sorry, Zombie. Democracy is an illusion.

Look at all the people on /pol/, all the journalists, everyone else...just happily writing fiction.

It keeps them out of the way. We like it like that.

I can. But I won't.

I want them to know what a failure you are. I want them to know exactly what your feelings towards them are. I want them to know exactly who you are, and the monstrosity they created.

It looks like grass over bones, in some liquid.

It looks repulsive.

It looks like some dirty people off the coast of Bum Fuknowar took a penny boat to the waters and brought back living creatures just going about their business to slice them, shove them in a pot, let it simmer while they discussed their prowess, shoved it in a bowl with some spices – just enough so they couldn't taste the fruit of their labor – put it in a bowl and ate it while they continued circle-jerking about this and that and everyone else, including themselves.

IT LOOKS LIKE HELL!
