Coast Guard. My father is a coastie and just being on base with him all the time really made me love the USCG and how many nice guys seem to be in the coast guard versus most other branches.

CNC Machining.
After OCS I'm going to use my GI bill to take Gunsmithing classes.

As soon as I get my degree and go to OCS, I'm quitting, but hey, come on down to Raleigh And I'll make you pancakes with the waffle batter! So fucking good.

We make the batter with half and half.

Not no pussy ass milk or water.

If you were one of maybe 3 customers only at the time, sure!

I'm not going to argue about how tasty WH food is. It's diner food, and nothing good.

The good stuff is what some of these pothead teenagers come up with when it's empty.

Also, even though the Pull Drop Mark system sucks for custom orders, just ask for the cook, and tell him what you want.

If you want a burger with ham and cheese on texas toast put in the waffle iron, I'd fucking do it for you because that shit's fun on a boring shift.

Nope.

Your waffle house never cleans it's grills. I clean my grills at the middle and end of each shift, as does every other shift's cook here. They're meticulously looked after here.

Thanks Guy, Just got up from a nap after working the 1st shift and needed something to do before shopping.

Stay dreamy, /ck/.

Favorite trucker's name is Big man. Carries his Ruger Blackhawk everywhere.

Where were you geographically? Might be southern, might just be this town. Also, If you give them a sincere smile, they'll know and reciprocate. It also helps if you don't fuck up diner food. Not saying you did, just saying.

WE IN RALEIGH NIGGA

And yeah, Mr. W is fucking fantastic. I'm not religious, but I'd describe him as a blessed person in luck and his kind heart.

I love my regulars so much, there's an obvious bias.

"What's that? Extra waffle/ham on the prep area that wasn't ordered? That goes to Mr. W."

It has completely destroyed my faith in the younger generation.

>HUE HUE THERE'S A HAIR IN MY FOOD
I shave my head, bro. That's your blonde hair.

At the same time it really made me love old people. I'm talking 70+. Best customers in the world, with the exception of a select few.

Definitely reinforced the nigger stereotypes though.

I have always been a slightly liberal Constitutionalist.

I support the second amendment and carry concealed on my person at all times while I'm working in the WH.

My political beliefs have not changed, but my perception on racial stereotypes have.

CALL AN OLD WOMAN PRETTY, THANK A VET FOR HIS SERVICE, TAKE A BREAK FROM THE GRILL WHEN THERE'S NO ORDERS AND WALK THE LINE. THE OLDIES TIP SO GOOD.

So about that lotto winner.

Let's call him Mr. W.
He's a Vietnam vet, very kind, and tips EVERY employee in the store whenever he comes in.
He makes his living off lotto tickets. Scratch offs and shit. Dude pulls like $2000 a week from that shit.

Anyway, he's chillin' eating his 5 minute waffle, coffee, OJ and his normal egg white omelette and gets up and runs out of the store.

Dude cries and shit.

Guy found out he won a cool million from some ticket of his.

still comes in EVERY MORNING.

Sweet guy.

With the Raisin toast I like to have the apple butter, or the icing they put on waffles, but I don't really like the strawberry/blueberry pellets they use to make the flavored waffles.

No, we are one of the largest operations in the state and constantly have to be on our game due to surprise drug tests.

Although during a quiet day I might smoke a joint since it runs through my system super fast with the diet i'm on.

in 2010 when I was hired for the 3rd shift 3 people were let go due to an apparent drug situation.

Landwhales trying to sit at a booth by themselves.

It's fun because during a rush we have to ask single customers to sit at the bar area, so quite often the do one or both of these things
>Bitch and moan and head to the bar area
>Struggle to get on the stools and leave
I'll tell more but I've got to type it out. We just had a lotto winner in our store recently.

Personally, I love a 5 minute waffle with 2 over easy eggs and bacon.
No sweet stuff for me, really.
although I'm a sucker for the raisin toast with the icing occasionally.

I didn't give up on life. It's fun cooking easy food and getting paid cash. They work around my schedule as a full time college student.

Plus my coworkers are actually pretty nice.
