Scoop it up and eat it with tortilla chips. Sprinkle with shredded Cheddar cheese and minced onion and a blop of sour cream for extra variety.

Remember to rise your beans. They come out of the can covered in goopy crap. If you soak them overnight, change the water once.

Lots of garlic, lots of cumin, easy on the hot pepper. Chili is user friendly.

White wine makes a good fluid. Pour in a cup and let it simmer all afternoon.

That's about all I can think of.

That is a distinct possibility. Try making your own -- preferably in a greased cast iron skillet.

> local Italian food is 1000x better than the shitty american rip offs of Italian food that you see
As a rural American who grew up on homegrown food -- including the onions and peppers on the pizza I'm eating RIGHT FUCKING NOW -- I suggest you go fu --

>wait I'm not on /k/

...check your privilege

>I'd honestly say that Italian food followed closely by mexican food is the best food out there.
I agree with you there. Hell, when I was a kid I thought the Mexicans and Italians were related somehow. They're philosophically very similar.

Cast iron Dutch oven and a good carbon steel knife.

All else is ancillary.

OP needs to try some tasty Belgian ales sometime. Not Belgian 'stye', but from fucking Belgium. Or better yet, brew some himself with authentic Belgian microorganisms.

I concur with OP. The French make the most noise about their food, but it's Italy where the fundamental question of civilization is 'hey, what's for lunch?'

You've never canned jack or shit or you wouldn't say that, you anesthetized suburban faggort. Try it before you talk about it. You're talking yourself out of a cost-effective great taste experience.

>You might as well just buy canned goods from the supermarket.
No you mightn't have, you dumb deprived bastard. Try buy a dollar's worth of jalapenos -- for example -- at WalMart and make refrigerator pickled jalapenos out of them. You will find them infinitely superior to anything you grab off the shelf, at one third the price.

Two bacon double cheeseburgers with pickled jalapenos and both onion rings and some ranch fries with ample ketchup to dip both of them into. And a chocolate malt.

It's the nice nubbly texture, too. Texture and taste go hand in hand. Your mileage may vary. I fully accept and embrace that you may never enjoy these delicious bastards. I am fine with that. Grant me my own shroom-eating scope. Especially with cream and paprika. OMFG yes.
