You don't, because on /ck/ you're a "vegan" if you don't autistically remove the lettuce from your burgers, so basically anyone who isn't a dysfunctional manchild is a "vegan"

Ever notice how the most diehard carnists seem blissfully unaware that non-packaged food exists? No wonder you people get all hot and bothered over the right way to cook a steak, it's probably the most complex thing you've ever tried "cooking" other than throwing some hot pockets in the microwave (p.s. I do not own a microwave)

Whole Foods doesn't exactly have high standards either. Plenty of CAFO garbage. I don't buy meat, dairy, or eggs there.

I don't think you actually understand hedonism if you think a successful hedonist is a Jabba the Hut creature with cirrhosis, gout, and a pacemaker.

Hedonism is about net pleasure, after all positive and negative experiences are added up.

A lot of people are so habituated to a horrible diet and lifestyle that sensations that should raise alarms just seem normal. Ever listened to a fat person who is so unhealthy they get winded from talking? You can't even bring up health with those kinds of people, they instinctively get angry and defensive and try to justify their belief that "this is just how it is".

Same goes for the carnism epidemic. I've got to have that big heap of shitty trashmeat with every meal or I'll die of B12 deficiency. A balanced diet is for healthetarian extremists.

I rarely use mayonnaise since I am not a cultureless flyover, although I have made it a few times out of curiosity or necessity. But at some point in the last 10 years, I don't recall exactly when, I bought some store-bought mayonnaise in order to make a Tomato Sandwich which I have been told by reliable sources is a Real American™ food, and is required to be made with store-bought mayonnaise, store-bought white bread, and fresh summer beefsteak tomatoes. It is beyond me why anyone would waste a good ingredient like fresh summer beefsteak tomatoes on an abomination involving mass-produced grocery store trashfood, but I am a fearless supporter of cross-cultural exchange and this was part of my mission to understand all cultures, even those without merit.

Of course I do not like GMO trashfood so I bought the Sir Kensington, which appeared to be close enough to flyover mayo that it would be authentic, while not poisoning my body with frankenfoods.

As expected the tomato sandwich was quite delicious. I enjoyed at least two, then tried to decide what to do with the rest of the jar. I couldn't think of anything that didn't disgust me, so I eventually threw the rest out.

Suppose the farmer's market was closed again. To what extent would you consider halal meats to be an ethically acceptable alternative to the sustainable, ethically raised meats that you usually get? Please understand, most halal butchers are not part of the CAFO carnist system.

Ohio is a gastronomic wasteland, much like everywhere else between the Hudson River and the Diablo Range

I only eat at the most autentico hole in the wall warungs, paladares, 屋台, et bistrots. I arrive at such places by bicycle and I always attempt to speak with the staff in their native language

I do not "go out of my way" because I am not a vile cager who injects 4 kg of carbon into the atmosphere to show I've "made it"

Remember when you were 23 and you thought Le Creuset or Staub or whatever was awesome and proof you were a Real Foodie?

How long did it take for you to finally admit that enameled iron is for decoration and tabletop decorative serving, not actually cooking with? And how did it happen? Was it that big holiday meal where you didn't have enough enameled iron and you pulled out the old All Clad and marveled at its performance? Or was it after you ruined one too many meals with burn marks and frustration, and thought: there must be a better way?

The only cookware worth using is stainless lined aluminum, stainless lined copper, and tin-wiped copper. Anyone who hasn't figured this out yet is obviously a child.

p.s. if you are a Lodge poorfag or own Emerilware, I invite you not to participate in this thread. Also, has the /fastfood/ containment subreddit been created yet by yasukuni whatsisname? Are poor people actually still an issue? I haven't been here in a while.

What he means to say is, sometimes Japanese people do racist things. This blows his weeb mind, because they were supposed to be enlightened superior beings and also everyone knows whites are the best and everyone everywhere loves them unconditionally. I mean what did white people ever do to anyone.

Check out the Street Vegan cookbook

The recipes are labor intensive but carnism won't be defeated by wishful thinking

I suppose it must have been at Montessori preschool. That's kind of like a Waldorf school, but for regular middle class folks like my parents.

It's similar to the rare steaks from Outback thing. They're told that it's 'classy' to like it, so they go out of their way to 'develop a taste' for it even though, let's face it, what they pretend to enjoy is really quite unpleasant to eat.

The problem is most people have never had good sushi, and yet, look how popular it is. Sure, SOME people have a genuine appreciation for sushi (me, for instance).

But ask your average uncultured fear-gripped carnist their favorite sushi and they will inevitably say 'unagi', which reveals a hidden truth: they liked the thing that came out of a plastic bag, that was already cooked, and slathered in BBQ sauce, because they didn't like the rest. Because it wasn't good. But the fact that it has a Japanese-sounding name makes it ok to say they liked the pre-cooked packaged BBQ fish more than the shit-tier garbage fish on the rest of the plate.

>They are so good at eating
Obviously never dined with an American

They have a panic attack when the entree is served because it's not piled up to eye level and overflowing the plate, and also because they have quixotic notions of what "entree" means

They give the waiter the stink-eye over offering a drink that isn't water because "muh munnys worth" and also because wine is a scam

They have a panic attack over any course that isn't 99% CAFO trash-meat and 1% HFCS glaze and salt

They feel a rush of indignant rage when there are extremely common foreign words on the menu such as "pollo" or "fromage" or "Wurst", and they start raving about how the customer is always right

Americans are shit at eating. They don't love food. They love the sensation of being full

There is a difference
