I think what you want is a more premium, steak like flavor in your burger. No one makes burgers out of literally steaks. It would be too hard to bite among many other problems.

What you can do is make a burger out of a cut of beef that is also used for steaks. Like chuck for example. You can get more fancy but just Chuck makes amazing burgers with a more premium steak taste. Have you're butcher grind some chuck fresh for you. Tell him its for burgers and you want a small grind, twice if he will do it. Also tell him you need 20-25% fat in your grind.

I will also tell you how to cook this thing. What were gonna do is make a burger that is juicy, very flavorful, seared, isnt to tall to eat, and that will stay together.

>lightly pack a 4oz ball of your beef blend. Chill meat before.
>cast iron or skillet preheated, little above medium high,
>butter pan, place ball, partchment paper over the ball and then smash it very flat with the flat part of a sauce pan or spatula.
>Hold down for 10 seconds. Try to do it so the meat sticks and doesnt come back up when you release.
>Salt patty. Just salt, or make a blend. (more salt, little less garlic salt or garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, maybe a little paprika or cayenne pepper)

This creates a really nice sear that's very flavorful. Don't worry about pink, this has all the flavor you need.

>cooks for around a minute. You will know when its done. Flip, cheese and cook for like 20 seconds. I prefer american or pepperjack.
>Let the patty rest for around a minute before you bun it. It will be juicy as fuck.

>Toast buns in butter. I like sesame, potato or kaizer.
>Fav toppings
>Special Sauce (MAKE THIS)

Half cup mayo, 3 tbs ketchup, pinch of salt, pepper, cayenne. 2 tsp hotsauce (optional) 2 tsp relish and 1 tsp of vineger.

You wont be disappointed with this.

tfw just bought 5 $1 dollar cheeseburgers from McDonalds but as I was biting into the burger I remembered the stories of people telling me they've found rap trap parts, mop strings, teeth and spit in their fast food burgers. God knows what the hell you're actually getting in your meals when you order from fast food places. Who here else paranoid about possibly getting a fentanyl laced burger?

Holy crap that guy was right about the cold spots and cylinders. I just tried it by reheating soup, so that might skew results having the test subject go from cold to hot.
