San Japan is coming up at the end of this month. Who is attending? What are you cosplaying? What guests/events are you looking forward to?

There are many lgbt panels this year it makes me feel like im at pride and not an anime convention. I went to the yuri panel last year and it was total shit as I walked out halfway being the salty lesbean that I am. I'm just hoping that these similar type panels aren't run by retards again. I'm also sad there's no cosplay dating game this year

This year I'm debating either going in my plain hoodie and Jeans, or my slightly nicer outfit I used to wear for in person D&D campaigns I ran. Either way, you'd best believe I'm gonna attend most of the events in the Mariott and try to get as many games in in-between as I can. To be fair, I'm assuming whoever is in charge of getting guests didn't work hard enough or they didn't want guests eho cost a certain price level since SJ is during Crunchyroll Expo, SAC Anime, Saboten, Dragoncon, and other various labor day weekend cons. Getting good guests is hard while other cons might be offering more for them too with a more attractive location (San Antonio is really nice though)

a friend of mine was told to leave because a tad bit of cheek was showing last year. this year and last year, girls were wearing full on thongs without panty hose like my friend. they had full cheeks showing. so yeah this is a degenerate con

The single-day passes were all different Yu-Gi-Oh cards. Completely different shape than the weekend+ passes too.

that's pretty neat.

Did anybody get the passes after 3pm Sunday? They were selling them for $2/each for people who liked the art, but I totally forgot. Were they literally just the passes or was the quality different?

Also lol @ 4chan for blocking posting from the convention Sunday when I was trying to post on this thread if anybody had seen my lost messenger bag after l&f didnt have it ;_; (somebody turned it in though!)

Um, clearly you didn’t go. MahouBunni showed a preview of her original song, three people made their solo debuts, and Love Notes did Wake Up Girls!! cosplay/songs. No Blend S to be found.

Yea I feel this pretty much. It seems like the same at alot of cons tho this happens. It pays to bring a friend who can take pictures of you with other cosplayers.

Above here, con was pretty good for me! Got to spend time with people I rarely see and got drunk and walked the Riverwalk and passed the Alamo. Attached lineup in case anyone saw me, did not cosplay Sunday though.

Already making plans for next year so I’m looking forward to it!

I got them! They were basically just the left over badges. No gold pass, staff pass, or guest passes tho. Which makes sense since they have a set number for those, but the gold pass was my favorite and I'm so sad

Every year it is the same. The con becomes increasingly lackluster every year. Essentially we are making one man rich while we provided content and material. San japan is like going to bill millers, but you have to bring your own food and cook it yourself but still get charged for everything.

At least Bill Miller's has good tea and brownies.
