I'm less skeptical because I know the previous owner is gone. Nice girl, terrible leader.

I am worried I'll get roped into staffing, though.

At least this isnt owned by Ryan Kopf now.

Coming off of AX so I'm kind of looking forward to the more intimate setting of a smaller con.

It's gotta turn into a "party con" like the first year when it was at a hotel and not a convention center like in 2016, right? Can anyone gauge how many people are going?

>> No.9942000

I think with the location they chose, it's going back to the party con/socializing convention feel.

The 2016 attempt at going large is what did them in. It's not what anyone wanted from the con.

Thought everything was gonna be inside the hotel but it looks like the Marriot has a little convention center to the left. Everything will probably be in there. At least this hotel has experience with hosting cons since they seem to do a horror themed one in September.

I don't wanna get too hyped up, but it would be nice to have something small and social before ALA.

It turns into a comfy con like ALA where strangers become friends and just have a good time without the hassle of having packed schedules, and packed spaces.
