Do you have sleeping problems? My nose was also broken and healed wrong, as well as I have a deviated septum. Can't breathe out of my nose most of the time and it's complete hell when it comes to sleep because of sleep apnea. I did some sleep studies and I stop breathing in my sleep all the time up to nearly a minute. Septorhinoplasty has been presented to me as an option but I ended up giving up because I got sick of trying other things first, like sleeping with this retarded loud ass mask over my face at night.
My doc said that insurance would cover my septum part, but there was a chance that the rhinoplasty could be covered if insurance could be convinced it's reconstructive. Even if I couldn't, it would still be much cheaper to get both of them done at the same time.

I highly doubt I can convince my insurance(i have a bend/bump which i don't mind at all, i just don't like my nostrils), but if you're nose is actually crooked then you might be able to fight about it since that's more about fixing the internal part of your nose unless you're looking to do other things with it too besides just straightening it out/fixing breathing issues.

If you have sleep apnea, you might get the ball rolling since it's considered a pretty serious issue.

There is literally no reason to avoid it. If you start young you can actually prevent it getting worse.

I’m 30 and I had the same exact thought process as you and I regret it.

It’s like saying ‘I don’t want to start using sunscreen in my early 20s’

It’s a preventative, not a cure- and when the damage is done there is no cure.

It’s something we all kind of think... Idk we grow up thinking Botox is for old women with no capacity for facial expression.

By the time I got my first round at 28, there was already a little damage. It’s small enough that the Botox can hide it and I don’t need a lot, but after the Botox wears out, there it is. It hasn’t gotten worse thanks to the Botox, but it is there to stay unless I fill it in.

You’re young enough that you can stop the damage and with as minimal work as possible, so by the time you’re in your 60s you won’t need so much Botox you look like you suffered a mild stroke.

You know movie stars like Heather Graham who don’t seem to be aging but don’t look like they’ve had any work done? That’s because they started getting just a little work done young so they didn’t need a lot of work done when they’re older. The reason you get stars like Renee Zellweger and Nicole Kidman and Heather Locklear looking... bizarre is because by the time they started getting work done the damage was already done, and they needed a lot of fillers to cover it all up.

We have so many resources available to us now to help *prevent* the natural damages that come with aging, resources that didn’t exist before, and yet we often refuse to explore them because we think, ‘no, I’m too young.’

I remember when I first saw the shadow of a forehead line when I was 22 and I thought for a moment whether I should do anything about it, but then I thought no, I’m too young to get work done.

bone broth is another good one, and in my experience, much better than any of the supplements. Dietary cholesterol has no impact on blood cholesterol, update your health information from the 1970s.

By "chicken skin" anon probably means doing a total render of skin/bones, in which the fat is usually entirely skimmed off and the remainder is just slightly chicken-flavored jello. It's easy to do with leftovers from a cooked bird carcass and an excellent way to get collagen.

Also, open a book (written after 1970). Supplements are a TERRIBLE way to get whatever it is you're trying to get. >Supplements are a TERRIBLE way to get whatever it is you're trying to get.

This is such a sweeping generalization. While whole foods are typically the best way to get your nutrients, supplements have their place, and not all supplements are created equally. Supplements are especially great for people who are on-the-go types or just people without much control over their actual diets (not everyone has access to a kitchen everyday, I'm not sure about you but personally I'm often traveling for business).

Collagen supplements in particular have some pretty promising results. Yes you need to take multiple pills in a day (typically 3 pills twice a day, so 6 daily). This study is particularly interesting regarding the efficacy of collagen supplements: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4206255/

> At the end of the study, the dermatologists noted that 109 of these 157 subjects (69%) had either visible or significant improvement in their facial lines

Probably a piece of shit who also thinks that makeup is false advertising, realistically it's no ones business other than the person getting the plastic surgery, also plenty of people get corrective surgeries. Also the argument that the way someone looks has bad genetics is flaky at best. Human inheritance is complicated. Two conventionally attractive people can have an unattractive kid. Two unattractive people can have an attractive kid. There’s no gene that tells you, “Look ugly.” The attractive kid just so happened to get a combination of alleles whose phenotypes work well together. >>9911980
Ok, granted, in the case of someone who doesn't cook for themselves and is eating out all the time, of course you should be taking supplements. I worked around commercial kitchens for too long to trust eating out as a mainstay of diet and make nearly everything I eat from scratch. The collagen study is interesting, but generally fat-soluble molecules are going to have a better absorption rate than non-fat-soluble. But it doesn't matter if you're not going to be able to dedicate the time/effort to balancing your diet through food instead of supplements. That's why they exist, after all.

My point is, of course supplements have AN effect, but you'll notice this study didn't compare against a control group of people who consumed the same amount of collagen from food every day. It's just the case that for any given nutrient, your body absorbs it from food better than from an isolated molecule in a pill. It doesn't mean you get 0% from a pill, just less than you would from consuming the equivalent amount from whole food. If you don't have the option of balancing your diet from real food, then of course supplements are better than nothing. The anon who wants to get their collagen from real food sources is going to have higher absorption but have to balance the rest of the intake, but that's not much of a sacrifice for the benefit.

>>9911981

Depends on the clinic and what you want really. For example eyebag injections would be a few hundred every 6-8 months, fat transfer about double but lasting twice as long and surgery around 3-8k for a „final“ solution.

If I were you I‘d start with injections to see if it‘s enough and how fast your body breaks it down. Also consider other things you might want to get done and prioritize, most places outside of Surgery Central Korea will not put you through multiple facial corrections at once.

I really want to get a breast reduction, I've been disproportionately busty my entire life and it's also scaring me at this point because I don't want to be a hunchback. 5'8 125lbs at 36dd, I'd like to go down to a c at least, b ideally

Same here, is not just for the looks. My back hurts and due to the weight of them stretching I constantly have skin problems around the boobs. I always use strong bras and if I have to go without them (showers, baths, wearing a swimsuit...) I end up with red painful markings.

I get fillers because I cannot take time off for surgery + recovery time unless I quit my job. Also I would rather wait until I'm older and just get it all done instead of multiple surgeries. At the moment all I need is filler under my eye bags/at the top of my cheekbones, jaw and forehead botox which will hopefully prevent deeper wrinkles forming as I get older. I can afford the time to pop in for a clinic visit but not a fortnight for surgery + initial recovery.

Sounds like you are wearing the wrong bra. Check out A Bra That Fits. I really doubt you're a 36 band.

In this video she's talking about how she used to be fat as a kid and that's why she's obsessed about her diet and exercising. Not that she had surgery for anything.

Has anyone else done jaw/masseter botox with a brand other than original Botox? I was looking at Dysport because it is slightly cheaper and supposedly lasts longer, but then there's a couple of online things saying that it can affect your smile muscles more...

Any white women gone to Korea to have plastic surgery? How were your results? Your experiences?

I’m really interested in having work done without being made to look like the generic white porn star/trophy wife look that is the trend for plastic surgery in LA and NY. I love how graceful and youthful the look of the work of Korean plastic surgeons tend to look.

The problem is, what works for someone with Asian features doesn’t necessarily look good on white chicks. For example, the V shape surgeries I’ve seen done on white women look just bizarre.

Anyone have any experiences with a Korean doctor working on a Caucasian face? Any recommendations?

First tip would be to stop using Caucasian as white. The rest of the world probably does know what it means. Many Asians and black people are Caucasian, and even wikipedia has a sentence on Americans using it (wrong) nowadays after explaining what the word means.

Otherwise, I've seen some look kinda odd/bad indeed, especially V-line. But I've seen some decent ones. I think it's best to look at specific surgeries instead of in general. Anything particular you look for?

Not American but you learn something new every day! Id have thought white would be the weirder term since there are plenty of white skinned people in East Asia. Thanks for letting me know!

I’m looking into double jaw surgery and maybe a chin reduction. I have a bit of an overbite but I’m worried that fixing it as is will actually cause me to have a square jaw and pronounced chin. Going to a doctor who can not only do jaw alignment but also take into consideration any aesthetic changes that need to be adjusted to give my face a soft symmetry would be the dream.

Recently got my boobs done on May 30th

Still healing, but I'm mostly healed. They look great and people are already noticing even though it's only been around 3 weeks post op.

I got the incisions around my nipple so I won't have any scarring, and at this point there isn't even any visible scarring around my areola, it's blended in perfectly!

I am very happy with my decision. I am a petite asian female who has a very pretty face (not to brag) and the boobs definitely have gotten me more attention. Now I just need to squat more!

If you want to be clear you don't just mean light skin, it's more easy to say "European descent", if you know what kind of European (Germanic, Slavic, etc) you are (visibly mainly, everyone is mixed nowadays anyways) you could say that, but in some cases (like Hispanic for example) it might make things more complex. But white should do, Asians are generally considered yellow due to undertone in the skin, even when mainly visible when tanning. It's a rough diversion anyways.

Anyways, good western doctors can do that. I'm going to get big part of my jaw done as well. Thing is, many we see with surgery either try to stay young with surgery instead of taking care of their bodies since the start, or they choose the more extreme fake looking options. Just like they can do a boob job natural looking, but many choose to make them look like balloons. Just make sure you've got a good doctor and explain what you want.

I have no experience on Korean doctors of western faces for this tho.
