With the print being so busy, I wouldn’t have any accessory with a print, so with your idea of the flower tights, might make it too crazy. Saw your question in the general about rose-themed rings.

Rather than weighing down your hands with normie jewellery I'd suggest splurging on some nice nail art. Gives you more of that gothic rose vibe that you seem to be going for. If you don't want to do it at a nail salon, I'd suggest OPI brand black nail polish (cheap black nail polishes can be pretty iffy), and then add a red rose nail sticker on just a couple of nails.

Alternatively, you could also do finger armour jewellery, saves you from painting your nails, but it's harder to find something you like and can re-wear.

There's owner photos of the lucky pack dress floating around, the material is shantung so it does look pretty nice in person.

I think OP editing the images so that the overlay is transparent is what's messing up the way the dress looks, it's kinda hard to judge the fabric texture now that it's composed of different parts with different light sources.

It literally looks like you just chose things that matched in colour without thinking at all about the style or how they'd sit with each other. For example, the wine shirt looks more classic but the only thing in that picture you can wear with it is the skirt which is very punky. The hat matches nothing except the red shirt, the jacket is an awkward length for lolita and looks like it was meant to be worn with more purely punk stuff given the cut. Basically, you look like you've tried to do gothic, classic and punk all at once and completely failed at managing to get a single coord out of that collage.

It's a fun idea, but still looks bad. I'd go for a short-sleeved white blouse under the jsk, then do the tartan as outerwear. If the tartan shirt hangs too low either crop it (alter it) or do an underbust tie with it.

Either that or find a black denim dress and headbow to work with instead.

Would also go with a cowboy hat and boots instead of bull horns, pretending to be a cow kind of takes it somewhat into crazy-people territory for me, and not in a good way, either.

inb4 >it's a joke, whoosh
That's how itas are born, they let the idea of "it's a joke" overtake the fact that it doesn't look good.

Sorry, it's hard to tell it's intentionally ita. There's a few terribad collages in this thread already, so I thought I should point out that this one is pretty bad too.

I snorted so loud when I saw the announcement that dress is god awful.

I actually want to see this pulled off well, and I like your suggestions. It's an unusual concept with a ton of potential to be ita, but with a fraction of a chance to turn out surprisingly cute.
Better than whatever ~*quirky*~ novelty skeleton-axolotl-eating-pie-with-corgis prints that indies constantly shit out, imo.

The halterneck tie won't sit that way on a collar. Either use a high neck blouse (no fold down collars), or tuck the halter ties into the dress (shoop it out of the photo).

Or try a square neck blouse.

>> No.9887839

>>9887752
Yeah, i'll try that. I usually fold the collar above the dress ties, but that probably looks bad from behind

>> No.9888356

The frills on the square neckline will get interrupted by the halterneck ties, which will look odd. I suppose you can cover that up if you put ribbon brooches on both sides to cover up how the neckline frill is being folded under the shoulder straps/halter ties.

A square neckline without frills would mean a lot of straight lines (shoulder straps, halter neck, neckline square) are all over your chest/shoulder area.

Yeah, looks bad from behind. Source: own both this and Dream Marine. The friend who helped me dress fussed ten minutes over the neck ties before we finally settled on tucking it into the dress.

It looks great over a bolero though, if that helps (as in, wear the bolero over the dress, tie the halter tie, drape the bow outside the bolero).

Attending an event in August so trying to get my outfit down. I was thinking religious/cross theme(but I could also do angels as well).

Looking for crit, also suggestions for legwear(would rather otks over tights) and jewelry. Thanks!

I'd ditch the peignoir -- with the veil from the crown, no waist on the peignoir and a poofy dress you'll probably end up resembling this >>9834167.

If you want to further define your figure, you can also ditch the sash, remove the waist bow/ribbon from the dress and add a corset, though I don't think it's strictly necessary. I'd really suggest keeping a tight focus on the layering so there's something interesting to actually look at rather than a few bits of jewellery floating on a puff of chiffon layers.

For OTKs, AP is a good brand to focus on, they've practically crossed every print with crosses the last few years so it'll be easier to find Something Cross or Random Heavenly Holy otks floating around. Alternatively, you could go for lace tights -- not the cheapo floral ones, the ones that look like crochet. That will give you some lightness to match the sheer veil and the short sleeves.
