All I have gotten from this thread is that low life scum attend it on the last cling of hope they are popular. Upskirt guy makes sense because,well, look at who runs the convention. Nazi guy makes sense because it’s the only convention that won’t bat an eye at things other conventions have put on their banned list. There’s a lot of boasting by the guests I have noticed about how great the con is and it doesn’t deserve the hate. They mostly lurk in the shadows but they're still there - people at punk shows actually go out of their way to make them feel unwelcome or remove them though whereas nerds don't do shit.

Storm shelter doesn't mean impervious from all forms of weather. Unless it's a specially designed actual weather shelter, like a bunker or something.

The GRB is a convention center. The mayor designated it as a shelter for when there is a disaster. SHELTER. A place to go where there are resources and a safe place to be. It's not a super crazy weather resistant building. It could have been a sports arena or something similar.

If there's a roof leak, it makes the floors unsafe. Unsafe for people coming in and walking on it. It becomes a liability. But sure, let's invite people in knowing there's a hazard and a chance for someone to slip and hurt themselves and SUE THE GRB.
