I don't think that many people are actually bailing on AZ for Momocon. It's just the ones that are, don't miss an opportunity anytime a post about AZ is made in any NC con or cosplay group to make sure you know they are going to Momo instead. Usually they do a big reveal on Valentines but it does seem like there are less guests announced so far than usual.

I had wanted to check out Supercon but now I'm honestly wondering how the fuck they're going to fit all the guests and attendees into the convention center. Animazement feels somewhat crowded in there but Supercon looks like it'll be max capacity just going off last year's photos.

I only went to animazement twice and people In this thread talk about people being arrested and toxicity. I never notice this. Also how is super con I keep getting emails from them with a guest list getting bigger each day. The only thing is irking me is the operation hours of super con vs animazement considering super con stops earlier bit starts early as hell while animazement you can stay till its late as hell.

Supercon is fun but a different experience from AZ. I think AZ focuses more on varied content and Supercon focuses more on guests. They have a lot of things to do, but those other things feel kind of like an afterthought to the guests. There were a few big sponsor booths (think Verizon, Geico, that kind of thing) in the dealers room, and while I wouldn't be opposed to AZ reducing some costs that way, I do appreciate that I'm not getting bothered about my car insurance at AZ. Also, plan to spend a ton of money at Supercon if you want to meet the big guests. I also don't care if AZ starts charging for autographs and photos to bring in better guests, because I don't really care about guests, but I wonder if the younger anime crowd would even pay much for guests compared to all the adults at Supercon who will pay big bucks to see Star Trek, Marvel, and Dr Who stars.
