I have Just One Bite in jacquard too and I adore the print, but the lace and detailing is a bit cheap-looking for the price. The lace at the hem in particular is kind of plasticky and gross. I'm even considering replacing it with some $0.50/m lace I got from Taobao that actually looks better.

If the fabric is anything like the cheap rubbish that the tote bag was released in a couple of years ago, this will be bad. The print was surface only, and blurry. If you're talking about the 2015 tote bag, that's neither typical nor representative of the fabric quality on aatp dresses.

Think about it for two seconds. It's a random year. They suddenly make a lot of tote bags of their popular prints. They didn't re-release any of the popular prints. Just the tote bag. Not VR, no MND, no Alice Chess re-release. Just a lot of small little printed tote bags. We already know that brands face limitations in printing the fabric, so where on earth do they get the printed fabric from? It doesn't mattter how popular VR or MND is, there's no way they can sell enough of just those tiny little bags and no dresses to meet the minimum order quantity of any fabric supplier.

Answer has to be print-on-demand which is generally surface printed and often lower quality. They might even be ready-made totebags from the same place that does their cheap freebie mook bags. Two seconds of thinking and now you realise you're not really getting a tote bag made from the same fabric as the original print, no way is that happening. You're definitely getting a surface print on a plastic bag, that's why they could release so many different prints at once.

Now, whether you're still unhappy with aatp's quality is another story, but you keep bringing up the tote bag story so I just wanted to set that straight. The 2015 tote bag was definitely made from a totally different material using a totally different process, and seems to be a one-off thing.

So I wouldn't use that tote bag to judge this re-release.

To be fair, the first few btssb/AP chiffon polyester dresses were exciting, it's a bit different from the solid cotton stuff we normally get. And a bit after that transparent dresses sort of became trendy on the runway (think Ellie Saab lace dresses) so it was interesting to see how lolita brands interpreted the trend.

I didn't really everyone to embrace it to the point of excluding cotton now, though.

Does anyone know how to stiffen velvet bows? I have velvet bows on my MM coat that are very droopy. Good point! It's hard to say whether you're generally considered to be well dressed because tastes vary and it really depends on who you ask.
I don't know if people who are really into high fashion luxury brands and the latest runway trends would consider me well dressed, I rather think they might find me a bit boring and out of the loop. But I regularly get compliments for my outfits from a broad range of people, including people online, work colleagues or randoms when I'm going out. I'm still wanting it well after release and I haven't seen any 2nd hands pop up, but I'd like to know if it's decent quality incase it does show up. If you bought something on lace market, it took them about 2 months to send it, you got a fake tracking number, they lied at least twice saying they mailed it that day, and you finally got the damn dress after filling a PayPal claim, that gets bad feedback right? I'm aware, and personally I think it's a shit move to reprint on polyester while charging higher prices, unless aatp can actually vouch that the polyester fabric is better quality than the cotton (to be really, really fair to aatp, the fabric might still be better quality. No one has seen the fabric samples yet and there are no closeups, we're thinking it's shit based on shittalking, mostly)

I'm just saying the tote bag's production is entirely different from aatp's normal dress production. You would have been better off listing 2016 dress releases that were known to have a lot of complaints to show aatp's downward slide in quality, rather than pinpoint the blame onto a totebag that is known to have come from a completely seperate production method that was never repeated again.

Not even a Risa fan but why does it matter? Like another anon said, her whole personality gimmick is being pouty. I kind of doubt she even cares about AP at all. Doesn't impact my view on AP since I'm not an idiot. Don't care who she is, how snotty she is, or how gulls think her rolling her eyes is the end of the world and should get her dropped from modeling. She's a model and gets paid to look good, that's it. She was never advertised as "she'll be here to model for five minutes and that's all" though. TPC have always sold more expensive tickets with guest-related perks - people sitting at head table get to talk to the guests at the tea party, people getting gold get breakfast with them in the morning (which I think Risa did turn up for, to be fair to her), etc. Attendees bought the tickets expecting they could interact with all the guests. Whether this was a communication issue on TPC's part or her just not bothering to do stuff she was paid to do I don't know (I might be wrong but AFAIK they paid for her travel and hotel for both days even though she only turned up for one).

Bitches who freak out at the prospect of normies wanting to talk to them or take photos legitimately makes me angry. Can they not understand that to someone who's never seen this fashion before that it's unusual and noteworthy? It's a compliment if a tourist wants to take your photo. It's flattering if a group of men ogle at you. You don't have to flip a shit and make a scene if someone is giving you extra attention when you are doing something out of the ordinary. Having an attitude and not communicating to people how you feel is downright juvenile and it infuriates me when I hear lolitas say "I'm so misunderstood." If people misunderstand you, fucking tell them how you feel so they can understand! Tell them about the fashion! Be courteous and polite like any other reasonable person! It's not hard to do these things yet some lolitas make it sound like they're so persecuted....
