I've always really adored MK, even back when she was on LJ. She's my inspiration most of the time, even though I know I will never be able to look as perfect as she does (and completely effortlessly, of course.)

I know I just sound jelly, but she really inspires me to continue Lolita even when I feel disenchanted by it.

Finally, another one of my LJ inspirations is lavenderlillies. She has such a lovely face.

I understand this isn't a nostalgia thread, but I honestly miss when EGL was active. Especially now around lucky pack season, I really enjoyed seeing what people got. I miss the reviews on new shops and I especially miss the lifestyle blogs that were around during that time. I still have so many random girl crushes on people who probably don't wear Lolita anymore, ahh. I'm looking through old d_l posts and I feel a bit silly now.

Unpopular opinion time, but I really love Lor. She's not the best dressed or the prettiest, but she is such a kind soul. She always tries her best to help others and she's such a positive person.

I may get some hate for this but I admire Princess-Mint/Dollbe. I admire her art and sewing skills and also her confidence as a plus sized lolita. I know her coords aren't perfect but she just seems really kind and creative. I honestly wish I could be a little more like her.

I agree... sort of. I like the idea of country lolita being a legitimate style instead of just sweet lolita with a straw hat on. But I'm not particularly fond of her dresses, I only like two of them I do feel like she misses the mark often (specially when she tries to go for sweet) but she's on the right track. She should definitely explore that country girl look a bit more.

I like the aquaphobic sailor as well, she doesn't do complex coords well but I like her casual sweet/classic outfits.

While she is not the most beautiful Japanese lolita, I really like Rin-chan. I met her a couple years back and she was so sweet. Her mannerisms were so cute. Whenever I see her pictures, it makes me smile.

I really love Charlie Jamison. I love each and every one of her coords and her personality on youtube is absolutely stellar. Honestly a bit envious on how many hauls she can afford, since I wish that I could just throw my money away on whatever I want.

I miss the era of 2010-2011 when all lolitas started to move on to tumblr, where you could post nice high quality pictures. It was the best place for lolitas imo.. Really a shame that SJW made it unbearable, so everyone moved on to facebook which is even worse imo. Now there is no real place to share good pictures left...

Tumblr isn't "sjw" if you unfollow people and use tumblr savior, it's a blessing. I have found myself using the format less though.
I actually really like IG because it's almost all original content and not just people reblogging dresses they want. What really annoys me though is that glw, lockshop, and rockstar are always the top posts in the Lolita tags even if the post is cosplay. They are awful for tag spam.

I personally can't have instagram because I don't own a smartphone and I can't be assed with one, so I feel left out.
I continue to post on tumblr but I receive less and less notes. It feels like it isn't worth it anymore taking the time to take and edit nice pictures. Maybe that's why IG became so popular. It's basically involving zero effort taking grainy selfies or mirror shots, applying some ugly pre set filter on it and posting it on that app.

I agree, a lot of CoF pictures are formated for instagram with Cof being a complete at after thought. I enjoy instagram a lot more, I don't really post on CoF unless I'm unhappy with my coord and am looking to improve it, but even so, I don't know why I bother I never get anything out of it.

I like the stalking capabilities, of IG. I love being able to see more than just peoples lolita outfits. I love alt fashion in general so I love seeing what lolitas wear outside of lolita. For those who use it as a fashion instead of a costume it is almost always an extension of their personal style and it's lovely to see.

The only down side is since its not a moderated community, a lot of unrelated things end up in the tag.

Anyway, I think this is quite off topic so I'll contribute with Sapphiradoll! Her style is so lovely she's such an inspiration.

There could be a million things at play desu. Are the pictures good quality and clear, is the filter gross? (Generally stay away from IG filters) Are the pictures composed well and aesthetically pleasing? (Play with your inner photographer!) are your coords good? Are you ugly?

Anyway, this is off topic again so I'm posting this girl I've been mildly obsessed with Miladeblois. I like her style, I like her hair but most of all I like her mildly derpy face. It's so endearing!

Also I have a lolita blog and follow tons of great lolita blogs. Not sure what shortage the other anon is talking about.
