A month ago I had 14 but I'm cutting back. It consists of mainly OPs but I got some JSKs because everybody always tells you they're more versatile. I had like 7 blouses, 2 boleros, and 3 JSKs; two skirts. I really do prefer OPs, they fit better.

Category (blouse, main pieces), then tonal value (ivory-pink-red-wine-black; I only owned warm colours). Otome/ normal in a separate section. I keep bags at the top of my wardrobe.

This was only in 8 months or so, which seemed excessive, therefore I've been getting rid of things. Also I needed to minimise my wardrobe anyway due to a move.

I have 13 skirts and 18 dresses, but 4 of those are just offbrand/thrifted items. A good chunk of my wardrobe is Bodyline and Taobao as I'm really poor and cheap, but on the rare occasion I do buy brand, I buy something special. My brand pieces are Dim Light, Dream Sky, Vampire Requiem and Lotta, but all my blouses, pettis, tights and shoes are offbrand/thrifted/Bodyline. I've been in lolita since about 2005 and still have baby's first black and white hideous maid-looking dress.

I think /cgl/ would kill me if they saw the state of my wardrobe. I predominately collect figures and I have nowhere else to store the boxes they come in but in my wardrobe. I have a tetris like stack all the way from the top to the bottom. I allow what little lolita clothing I have to hang squished together, and there isn't even enough room for the dresses to hang loose so the bottom of the dresses are all sat on top one another.

I have a big wardrobe I bought from IKEA. Shoes sit at the bottom, with purses on top of a shelf of that. Then my dresses, blouses, and jackets/coats hang. I store extra shoes in their boxes on top. The wardrobe has another door to it which has lots of shelves. One for towels, one for head wear and accessories, another for cutsews and shirts, and the other for socks/stockings.

Le Cadre du Chat will always be my favorite. It was my second burando piece and I paid way too much for it out of being naive. The girl who sold it to me had a bag with it and she refused to split it, so I had to buy it too to get the dress. She also made me pay her PP fee and tried to charge me more for currency exchange rate than was correct (until I googled it and asked her why she was overcharging me). Still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I wish I could go back and tell newbie me not to be so desperate because this dress will get released like clockwork every time JetJ needs a little padding in their bank account.

Anyway, since I had the bag, I ended up collecting this print and I have one of every item that has ever been released with it except for the tote bag that came out a little while back. I'm debating getting that too just for collection's sake, but I don't actually want it that much.

I'm pretty sure I know who are from around cons and stuff. Does your name begin with S? If you are who I'm thinking, you seem to be doing quite well for someone who's gotten into the fashion so recently. I would recommend starting to save up for brand, as the quality is just so much better than replicas and Bodyline. Plus Bodyline has gotten hella expensive for what it is now. Ain't nothing wrong with it though, I still wear Bodyline stuff a lot. And it's good to start off your wardrobe with the cheaper basics rather than spending lots of money on brand and then realising it's not something you're passionate about. I have a replica too that I got when I was new, but I never wear it anymore because I've realised how terrible it is. It doesn't even fit a petti properly underneath. The one thing I would say though, is you might want to invest in some good quality wigs, and trim the bangs of the ones that you have. I know it's a bit nerve-wracking when you haven't cut wigs before, but just take it slow and watch some tutorials. It will improve your outfits a lot. Other than that, just keep up the improvement and you'll be grand! And ignore the salty cunts on here.

Don't feel down from all the negative posts anon. Just sell off your fav dresses and the replica and get that brand dress you wanted. Your wardrobe will shrink but that's OK. I'm guessing you are still either in HS or college? When you get a job it will get easier to buy nice dresses. For cheap dresses that are nicer than Bodyline buy more Taobao.
