Guy who here suggested that AX be like E3 in the last thread before it got autosaged. Here are my reasons.

Have Day -1 and 0 have industry do press release style panels were they show off animes coming up for the rest of the year and into next year with VAs, producers, character designers doing Q&As.

Close it only to industry? Not really, but lowering the cap to around 70K so we don't get a butthurt Fire Marshal again.

Take control of the whole entire LACC. I can't attend E3 because I'm not industry, but it seems the show does have the entire convention center. AX will do it this year but they are very inconsistant with doing so.

Oh yeah, I'm all for AX having a SDCC style pre-reg system.

Pizzanista! in the Arts District is p. good, though I prefer Xlixe in Little Tokyo.

Eggslut in Grand Central Market is a bit overrated, but I personally like it. Grand Central Market is well varied when it comes to food, so you should be able to find something you like there.

Wurstkuche in Little Tokyo is pretty popular; novel selection of sausages and great beer selection.

Legit taco truck tacos are the best, especially if you're not from the area (and I don't mean that Kogi fusion bullshit).

Unfortunately, LA Live has quite possibly the worst set up out of anything in Downtown LA, so anything worth getting to in the heart of Downtown will be a bit of a walk, unless you're staying at the Westin Bonaventure.

It's the people that make cons fun. But that's a double edged sword because they can ruin it too. Friday is the day people get off work and are ready for the weekend to start. Saturday is balls to the walls crazy cause eeeveryone is here. Sunday dies down cause because people have either partied themselves out from last night / they have to get back to the real world on Monday.

Just get ready for massive crowds and your average weeboo groups here and there. Make sure to find a fun party on Friday night and then go see all the contests on Saturday and panels and of course the cosplayers.

No, you only need a badge to get in the panels/exhibit hall/gaming hall etc. I have some friends that go up there and just hang out in the concourse hall for most of the time.

Worst seats I've ever gotten at an AX concert where back middle, but I still had a great time.
Of course front row the experience would have been heightened but I think if it's a concert you are really excited and wanting to see you will have fun.
If you are just going because 'hey a concert' then bad seats might suck, who knows.

Does anyone else struggle with adjusting your sleep schedule before a con?

I work at night so I'm usually sleeping at 4am and waking up at noon. I keep setting my alarm earlier and earlier to try to eventually wake up at 6am but its a struggle.
