Anyway, for body paint i recommend doing grease paint (Ben nye creme colours are good and if there isn't a shade you like you can always mix colours together) for the face, for the body i reccomend pax, you can also mix together different paints to get the correct shade.

I also do not reccomend purple aqua colour since it always seems to come out streaky as shit.

Because it's not what they are. They're aliens, and it's canon so why can you not just deal with that. And babby cosplayers tend to be the early arrivals in the cosplay horde since (until they improve) their only claim to fame is being "FIRST!!1!" and not having actual technique or skills.

IMO Steven Universe is one of the best-designed cartoons on air right now - the characters don't slot into a lazy cookie-cutter look, but they're not a vomit of clashing fashions and bad taste, either.

For Steven Universe, specifically for Rose Quartz, would it be a good idea to get two more of those twin tail clips and clip the four of them around your head? Would the already poofy wig in addition to the four clips make it look a little more realistic but add that little bit of that extra volume?

Yeah, I was thinking of putting them around like a crown [or a little higher to help balance everything so the wig doesn't pull back/off] but then spacing them, making sure the clips are hidden, add just a little fluff up volume once it's all in place and still get that big hair look without it looking too odd. Eureka's Castle was like the nick jr before Face took over. Shit like Papa Beaver's Story time, Maya the Bee (another classic), Muppet Babies, and The Muppet Show. I think Disney had Fraggle Rock though.
Face take over was around 95, Allegra's Window, Gulla Gulla, Richard Scary, Little Bear and Rupert were the big ones right around then, then about 98 I think Blues Clues hit
