I've been looking at these in offwhite, pink, brown, dark red and black. The pink or owh would be good for cult party kei, I think. The pink could also be used to do a slight oldschool-newschool mix for lolita, since RHS were popular in oldschool but didn't really come in colours other than black and white at the time.

I love that picture too. And I like your planned outfit! But the skin-coloured legwear tilts it a bit gyaru-ish and potentially even inappropriate, since you're wearing a peignor, which is a negligee item. You might wanna consider pale-coloured patterned tights instead, even if it's just those white ones with the polka dots.

Woah, didn't expect to find myself in the RHS thread.

That outfit is pretty old. I agree that the tights are pretty fug. Looking back, they made my legs look like they have some kind of awful skin condition. But again, it's an old picture and my wardrobe was pretty limited.

I used to have a photo saved, and it was my favourite photo of any RHS ever. It was from roughly the knee down, and I think the girl was in VW wing ones, running/waling quickly across the street. The photo was shot at a low-angle mid-stride, so she looked like she was taking off/flying. I lost the photo ages ago, and was hoping to find it again.

I'll post outfits in the mean time, in the hopes that someone knows what photo I'm talking about.

Depends. I know people who swear that they're easier to walk in than heels, and people who say they're death on platforms.

I personally am klutzy as shit and regularly come close to eating it anytime I wear mine. Rolled my ankle in this pair pretty badly one time (not true RHS, no notch cut from the back, but similar width and "rocking" slope in front), but have had better luck with my knock-off wings pair.

I think it has a lot to do with how strong your ankles are (or maybe that's just the BL pair I have). I always feel like that's what my balance depends on most, but outside of that they are miles easier to walk in than heels. I love them, even if I have nearly rolled my ankle a few times! I've definitely got worse foot casualties to show from heels...

I think it's also the width of the platform versus the width of the sole. The BtSSB shoes have a very narrow platform compared to their sole, which "rolls out" a bit in an awkward fashion. The VW sole and platform are the same width, and therefore easier to walk in.
