Hey /cgl/, I'm looking for great underskirt inspiration. Underskirt thread?

I'm just not quite sure how to make this look work with different dresses and would love some references. Additionally, what do you think of this trend of wearing several underskirts for a longer look (pic related)?

This was posted on CoF. Good example of an underskirt blending in with a dress

I'm 4'10" - do you think I could pull off wearing an underskirt with a dress or nah? I'm worried it'd make my legs look stumpy.

If it were a shorter dress and a proportionally shorter underskirt, then yes. Otherwise, I think your best bet is to leave the underskirts to the vertically gifted.

Maybe a tea length underskirt? I'd imagine most brand probably already goes past your knees, so it might be an odd length to add a shorter underskirt

Figure that out all by yourself anon? The thread is about underskirts

I would say it depends on the style of the dress. For instance, OP's image has a relatively high waist without being empire-waisted so I think it works. I also think the end length is important. If it goes to your ankles, I think it can work. (I don't have the image I'm thinking of but it was pretty much the only image that people used when referring to tea length dresses before underskirts were popularised.)

I would say >>8156917 would probably not work. The underskirt needs to either end just under the hem of the dress or go right down to the ankles to completely hide the legs. At the shins looks stumpy.

I wish this underskirt were even all the way around. :/ If the front were the same length as the back it'd be okay I think.

I think that would have looked really cute with just the one underskirt, but the other two look droopy and sad and stupid.

>>8156917
You need a petti long enough to hold up the bottom of all of your skirts or you just look like an idiot.

http://www.glitzywonderland.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=189&product_id=2468 any idea how to coordinate this? If I let more than one ruffle show, I think the gap looks kinda awkward. Though it ended up being great for mori

Anon from this picture ->>>8156912. It really depends. The underskirt I have on in this picture looks similar to that one. I just am wearing it higher so only the last two ruffles show. Depending on the dress you may want to let more or less of the ruffles show and you ca control that by where you wear the underskirt (i.e. high waist, natural waist, low waist, etc...)

I've purchased the chess story underskirt from taobao last summer. 9/10 would recommend to very tall Lolita. It's not 10/10 because it's almost too ridiculously long.

>> No.8157230

Any recommendations on where to buy good underskirts? I'd just like some to cover my knees (most brand hits a few inches above but usually not quite as high as mid-thigh), not all the way down to my ankles. Thanks in advance!

Pretty sure she makes all her headpieces herself. You might be able to get a similar look with individual flower clips. For those kind of colors, try vintage millinery flowers (etsy)

I have a question about a dress I own. It's a red sailor OP but sadly it's a little too short. It has the traditional lines going across the bottom and Im wondering it would look awkward to wear an underskirt it
(asking because i don't own an underskirt)

I hope this is the right thread to ask: what do you guys think of this skirt? Can I use it as an underskirt? Does anyone know it's name (so I can search for people wearing it or its measurements?). All I can tell from the auction page is that it's JetJ.
