It's usually alright to use a different brand's dress if it's in a convention. if the event as a whole is hosted by a brand, then you pretty much have to wear that brand as your main piece. She stopped wearing Lolita for a good while (transitioned into VW) and I think she hasn't kept up with the trends so she doesn't have a handle on the new way of coordinating yet. Things were simpler back in the day. For those of us who never stopped wearing it, it was easier to adapt slowly over time. I think she will get better if she sticks around. She really loves VW so she has a tendency to shoehorn items into her coordinates that don't quite work (for example, I think the gold VHS totally overpower that baby dress) and I think she needs to build up a library of accessories once she settles into a style (she's kind of been jumping around since she came back). I think it's not the proper shape. Typically you see hats that are more like boater hats with a flat crown and brim. Try looking in thrift stores, you might find a hat with an acceptable crown but a brim that's too wide, it can be taken apart to the width you desire.

The problem is, with my account, the funds are removed even when a payment is processing. Usually, this is a good thing, especially when I have to deal with people who take forever to process payments. Same problem here, only the first payment wasn't cancelled before they made another charge. I'm just not sure what to do from here. It was already sketchy that they charged me again without alerting me they had done so, but I don't want to file a card dispute for fear of getting blacklisted over a simple mistake, either by them or the bank. Any advice?

I'm a little biased since I'm a fan of hats, but I think it's workable with country or classic lolita, depending on how your outfit is coordinated and what your face shape is like - the latter of which I think tends to be ignored. Actually no, surprisingly enough.
I'm just worried that an attempted reversal of an international payment of $415 might send up some red flags. They're my favorite brand and I've had no trouble with them in the past, so I don't want to be too trigger-happy on reversals and whatnot.
The issue is, they seem to only have their English speaking staff in once or twice a week, so this process is becoming a bit drawn out. I'm not exactly desperate for money here, but $415 is kind of a lot of money to have just floating around in limbo.

To be honest, wearing casual lolita is two things:
Very toned down coords,
or, non lolita outfits using lolita pieces.
Aka, wearing a jsk without a petti or minimal one, with a bolero, simple shoes, and very few accessories. You wouldnt call it lolita, really, but its still not normalfag clothing.

Well i think it's always lolita even if very toned down, and with a minimal petti, but the coord must need a cutsew or a blouse to work not a t-shirt. Not always lolita needs lots of accessories, more decorative shoes, cute shaped bags and so on to be really lolita. I posted a qt coordination, even if isn't really lolita for the skirt shape and length. I love so much AP shorter skirts, they are more flattering than usual lolita skirts.

If you want to cover up your scars completely and aren't in an area that's too hot I'd also suggest 120 denier tights and above. They're pretty solid, even when stretched. But yes, like others said, go or the thin but not shiny nude tights with socks over them too. Kinda helps keep OTKs up too if you have them

Fellow seagulls, I am thinking about ordering the Chiffon lover JSK from f+f. Pic related

I have never ordered from them before, so I am a bit worried.
90% of my main pieces are brand, and I have mostly been disappointed by Bodyline quality. The only offbrand dress I own that I really like is a Krad Lanrete Chiffon OP. But I thought about giving the F+F chiffon dress a try.
Additional info: I won't use custom sizing.

Shall I do it? Or will I be disappointed, and rather invest my money into something else?
