Certainly not their petticoats. Bloomers are fine, but they're way cheaper to hand make and relatively easy to make for a beginner seamstress.

F Yeah Lolita has a decent guide for buying from BL, granted, it's a little outdated product-wise. Personally, I like the idea of getting a bunch of basics of a simple color palette (preferring to buy blouses off-brand/taobao) that revolve around a jumper skirt (or skirt if that's your preference). I personally don't buy BL dresses and skirts anymore because most don't have lining fabric (thus the lower cost), but they're fine if you're on a budget. There are a lot of reviews for many products if you search for them.

I'd like Yan to get a PR handler and clear the air about the rumors. I'd love to see a forum also, or other place we can make suggestions and have an exchange of ideas with the company. I think there is a lot of misunderstanding regarding Bodyline and I've always hoped someone would step forward from the brand to open a dialogue. I own quite a bit of the product in addition to my burando and use the pieces as basics in my wardrobe. Some items are really versatile.
The brand is underrated and devalued currently but a lot of that is due to bad image, poor quality control, sporadic stock and lack of communication. These things can be fixed, fortunately.

Has anyone ordered the 271 cosplay from bodyline?
Can the tie be switched out for a bow? I'm planning to use the red one bodyline sells for like 4 bucks.

Any tips for sizing? This is my first time ordering from bodyline and it seems like the measurements on their site are usually wrong.

My roommates and I all own this and love it. The tie can't be switched out unless maybe you rip the seams in the strap that clips around the red ribbon, but I'm not sure how the fabric would look without it since it's sewn on there pretty tight.

The shirt itself really isn't that short, but if I recall you can see your waist by an inch and a half or so if you raise your hands if you go according to the sizes on site. The sizing fits very well everywhere else though. I have a big booty and large breasts so I had to go with a 3L but it is very comfortable. Good elastic in skirt, the ribbon hides the zipper line in the front very well. Overall, unless you're worried about your stomach showing if you raise both arms all the way up (which is the only time I've had the problem) then I'd go a size up, otherwise you should be fine.

Well, considering the measurements for 3L on 271 Cosplay and what I picked, I suggest going a size up. I'm only 96cm in bust, and waist is between 70-80 (can't recall at this moment) so with that in mind and how it fits me, go a size up for sure!

Cosmate's shipping is OK depending on how soon you want it to get there. It used to be pretty shitty until they added more options, so it may be decent now... However, I suggest waiting it out. After all, with the yen to dollar paypal conversion trick, you'll probably be saving more to just wait for them to get more 2L in. They constantly restock this item.
