I posted a couple weeks ago in a wishlist three that I'd never get my dream piece, pic related. Honestly I've been looking for it for years.

Two days ago someone on LSE posted that they're selling the jsk + katyusha set! I'm in the process of buying it now (it's at the dry cleaners at the moment, after the proof photo ill pay for it), and I'm so very happy. ; u ;

It was just the other day for me, I was wearing my second Lolita dress (a IW JSK) and on my way home after a meet I received so many compliments.

(I honestly thought at first they were going to make fun at me, one of the girls looked like she was into fashion, but the guys did pretty much all the talking.

It took me a second to realise why he had stopped in front of me and was holding out his phone, I probably looked like an idiot.

Makes me want to buy more pretty dresses, this fashion has made me feel so good about myself and how I look.
I'm always too shy to compliment or help people, and buy the time I pluck up enough courage, the chance is gone.

I wasn't into Fairy Kei and didn't wear contacts excessively when I first started dating my boyfriend, but now I am and I wear a lot of wig colors and my style's changed a lot and I wear contacts of all colors and he still loves me just as much as he always did and doesn't judge me for my style at all and when he hears or sees people making fun of me or judging me, he confronts them and sticks up for me.
I'm so lucky to have him.

I found a lot of my dream pieces this past year, so I feel pretty lucky. I've always wanted pic related (in the JSK cut) because it was one of the prints that I saw that got me into lolita. A seagull had it for sale last year but I passed up on it because I didn't have the money. Then last month it popped up on eBay out of all places and just last week someone was selling the matching tote. I am so happy I got the whole set!

Different anon but that image is so shopped and as there's not much light reflected in the eyes you wouldn't be able to see.

I actually have two different coloured eyes but it's so subtle it's really hard to tell and I didn't even realise it until I was about 16 when someone noticed, before people used to say I had blue/green/grey eyes but my left eye is blue and my right eye is slightly greener. You have to be creepier close up distance to really see it though.

When I was helping out at the practice runway night at Frock On we were all waiting for a van to come with majority of the dresses and outfits. It was just this giant crowd of lolis all going down the steps in this fancy hotel and coming back with huge cardboard boxes, some like 5 times bigger than the girls. A lot of people had come in lolita to the runway also so you had a bunch of us in lolita carrying a shit load of boxes upstairs. The security watching at the door just seemed completely confused what to think.

One of the girls had quite a heavy box and a fancy outfit on but I had a heavy box too so I couldn't offer to carry it. Instead I tried to help motivate her to go up the steps by singing eye of the tiger and we started to laugh. It was pretty fun and probably a good work out.

It's not just that, she also is posting everything on the 'public' setting, including all her photos. You can search mine by name but unless you're friends with me, you can't see a thing except my cover photo and profile pic. I also changed my name to be Firstname Middlename instead of Firstname Lastname. Given that she thought she had high privacy settings but has been posting publicly this whole time, I'd be willing to guess she's just as dumb as she is ugly and never had them done properly to begin with.

So I'm wearing baby's first lolita, this fairly ita red and black plaid jumperskirt with this weird corset top [I still wear it, but now with a blouse over the ugly bodice part instead of under it]. I do have a petticoat on and think I'm super rori walking around in a cheap petticoat and black maxi pad headdress [in my defense they were totally still in style then!]. Anyway, that doesn't matter.

The day just gets worse after I leave my house. People keep asking me if I'm going to a costume party or why I'm dressed so weird.

Then as I'm walking home this school bus drives by full of middle-schoolers, maybe younger. This little girl leans her head out the window and yells "I love your outfit!" as they pass by.

It gave me a confidence boost which let me keep wearing that terrible jumperskirt for a while longer.

Oh, wow, I'm glad she did something like that My mom would never do that for me. She always asks how much an item costs whenever I get lolita clothes. I've grown up in a fairly frugal household, so even though I'd consider lolita an investment and I tend to go to auctions to avoid retail, I still get the guilt trip, especially around my mom.

I hope you find that couple someday. I remember visiting Mont Saint Michel and a group of Japanese tourists were visiting that way. I took off wanting to go up the turrets and take aerial photos, and when I got back, my mom had spotted two lolitas. Too bad we were about to leave when she told me.

My mother, who taught me to only buy at clearance sales and at least 50% off retail, is surprisingly okay with it because I can usually resell my dresses for the same price I've paid, so even though she thinks of it as an expensive fashion phase I'm going through, she isn't as worried. I thought I would cop the mean guilt trip about "HOW much did you pay for that?" but nope. It probably helps that I've been living away from home for 7 years and totally financially independent for the last 2.
