it kind of looks like she used a way too poofy a-line petti for a bell shaped skirt. So the bottom is bulging out more when it shouldn't be. I find that a-line pettis can work just fine for a gathered skirt/bell shaped skirt, but they have to be lower poof, otherwise you get that weird shape you see here. An easy way to get around it, if you don't want to buy multiple pettis, it to tuck the top layer into the waistband. That puts more poof/bulk near the top of the skirt and fixes the shape.

Cropped to hide some personal info because I don’t wanna get banned, but I’ve had this saved for the last few months from when she did these as posts as inspiration to lose weight because if she could do it then so can I! Already 10kg out of 18 down now. You can tell some of the skin is loose but I think it’s a fair effort and I can’t wait to see how she looks when she does the skin tightening she’s been posting about to her stories.
I was following her when her account was more fitness based rather than lolita and I’m glad there are some people who are open about their journeys who are also into lolita cuz it’s kinda rare.
