"Boystyle" is shorthand for "boystyle lolita" and refers to the masculine counterparts of Japanese lolita and, often, aristocrat fashions. I've noticed that while ouji has never been as popular as lolita, the style still has trends. Punk style has sort of died out, but regal and military style still seems popular, especially with taobao brands pumping out companion ouji outfits for lolitas.

Ignoring wtf AATP is doing so far, what is your favorite substyle of ouji? Were you inspired by visual kei and jrock? Do you like the cutesy and comfy schoolboy look? Or do you like the all decked out royal themes?

yes, it depends on your face shape and the style of ouji you wear. flattering your face is the number one consideration. after that, some common styles are old-fashioned wire frames for classic, plastic colorful frames for sweet, and (obviously) black frames for gothic. i will gather some inspo/examples

the buttons going across horizontally are a flap, the material may be very thin but the front panel is 2 layers of fabric, there will be a fly/zipper behind that so it shouldn't be an issue. the ass end on the other hand idk. wear a tail coat.

Err that's how it should be, but the buttons don't look functional, and the lightness of the fabric changes half way down the crotch making it look like the whole panel is only doubled half way down. I think it's ugly so you probably just don't wear them but maybe some white bloomers underneath aren't a bad idea.
