Chaotic at best. There’s been a few gems here and there but overall there seems to be a major management problem with parallel storylines and time skips, switching writers at strange times, etc. it makes you wonder if they’re just not interested anymore after seeing the money that can come out from movies

For example a group of girls that do belly dancing wearing their dance costumes with eveelution headbands for the cosplay contest is annoying, but a group of girls wearing 90s clothes and sailor moon wigs just to chill at con is fun.

Low effort variant cosplays can still be cool imo as long as it’s not just attention whoring. Both are closet cosplays, but the belly dance group is considered "bad" and "thotty" while the Sailor Moon closet cosplay is "good" and "accurate".

Both groups are having fun participating in their hobbies with their nerdy friends without obsessing about being the best at cosplay. Saying one group is attention whoring because their passion is to dance and entertain is some beta virtue signaling. You can be mad at the judges if they weigh those girls' performance over the costume craftsmanship, but blaming the girls themselves for participating is bitter.
