so I bought a kawaii beret from ebay which cost way more than items on ebay usually do, and the quality still ended up being shit. didn't get what I paid for. where can I get a cute white/pink beret that ISN'T deformed and doesn't have weird fabric?
I'm also looking for a basic cap although preferably with something Japanese on it. sounds easy but the one I ordered had great ratings but it still turned out to be deformed and weird. I really only want recommendations from people who bought the items themselves, because in my experience ratings don't mean shit.

Is this a lost cause?
My friend ordered from Ali after two days the seller camceled the order but took money anyway. Friend contacted seller with no response, she made a claim, Ali says the tracking id works fine and she should proof she never got order. How possible is it that the seller shipped the order out besides stating it´s canceled? How are her chances of getting her money back?
I don´t know all the details but I´m so confused by this case. I ordered tons from Ali and something like this never happened to me. Maybe Ali treats me differently because I´m a money spending idiot?

Because the people buying it are already aware, you can't buy a $1 item that normally goes for $50 and expect great quality. They know if they started complaining then the reply is always going to be "it was too cheap, what did you expect? You're being cheap and still complaining you didn't get the moon? You didn't even pay enough to look at the stars, you're an idiot" -- and other replies of this type.

So pretty much, they already start out expecting an item that is completely shit and totally useless. All the item has to do to earn a 5-star rating is be slightly less than complete shit, ie- if you can put on the clothes with the arms and legs in all the right places, or if it works one time before dying, then it's already much better than the trash they were expecting.

I'd just rather people don't throw away money on this cheap shit, because even if you're fine with gambling and throwing out $1 if it's bad, it still takes resources to produce, and throwing it away goes straight into the landfill. But hey everybody loves buying cheap shit now so I guess the landfills of cheap aliexpress shit is just gonna be the next generation's problem.

I have some clothes I've been using for quite a while (maybe 1x every 2 weeks for the past couple of years) without falling apart. In particular, I find the long skirts and dresses to be sturdy and durable. In fact, I'd argue they're probably better than common normie stores since many of them come with pockets and have thicker fabric that actually protects you from the cold, things I have not found in your average american work wear store.

On the other hand, I've had sweaters unravel on me on the first day. So it's definitely hit or miss.

I try not to buy from ali anymore though in any case. It's too risky. I'd rather just pay a little bit more for stuff I know will last much longer.

NTA but you can definitely use those molds for UV and they work a lot better. Molds like that are meant for UV because it's quick curing. Usually if it's thicker you leave it in longer for the light to penetrate better and then when you pop it out and cure it again just to be sure. Your UV light is probably just not strong enough. I've been doing resin work for 6+ years now.

it's a quarantine thing, they're not extending the holiday itself. this is just a nice way of putting it.

>> No.10332315

Technically, LNY itself is only 3 days (comparable to say Christmas Eve and Christmas Day). People will get at least 7 days off work though and schools will usually give 15 days off (so like winter break for Americans). The government has extended the holidays in the sense that the business can’t legally force you to come to work on those days. Obviously, it’s also a method to quarantine people.

By the time they get here the epidemic will either have given out, or gotten considerably worse; and at that point they might not even arrive.

Anon... remember that the one child policy had a fatal flaw. You could avoid fines by giving the child up for adoption. After the adoption loophole closed, abandonment became commonplace. Roughly two million daughters ended up orphaned in the early 1990's as a result. That's just the first wave of abandonment.

My aunt is from China, during the policy's enforcement, and, unfortunately outside the rich, people were still having babies left and right.
