Boz will restock some of their staple pieces mainly their Roland’s a couple of times a year. Some things will get rereleased, possibly with a bit of change, once every few years. Some things don’t get restocked. It entirely depends on whether it’s a staple piece or not.

wa and qi ouji is rare, so i would like to share some of the inspo i have saved. i see some oujis wearing coords that feature kimono fabric, which is a good way to incorporate the Japanese aesthetic into a princely coord. pic related.

there are other ways to try it out. a kimono-style top, or hakama, or kanzashi, or frog-style closure jackets are a few common methods. additionally, some brands, such as Meta and Ozz On, and recently AatP, make wa or qi ouji items specifically. what method do you like best? diy, vintage, or brand?

i can see how this is getting flak. it is more on the side of Western historical fashion than modern Japanese alternative fashion. i think each item on its own is a great staple, but you may consider adding accessories. mixing in something like a frilled jabot instead of a cravat, adding embellishments to your hat, and using patterned socks may be an easy way to start.

for example, here the ouji wears a bow at the neck which echoes the color of the vest, and socks that appear to have accents in the color of the pants. fanciful trim helps modernize the look as well.

you can still get away with some sort of eye makeup, do spot-colour correcting, darken up eyebrows to make them look a little sharper..

hair is difficult, but shows a commitment, i think.. if someone has alt hair they are almost certainly not a larping normie. if you can't change your hair, you can do your best to style it or try a wig, though. hair is especially difficult because men tend to have it short or have receding hairline problems that make styling hard to pull off.. idk how the vkei guys do it desu, surgery and shoop i guess

pic related kamijo isnt the most dashing here, but he's clearly set drastically set himself apart from the average japanese man with hair colour, style, eyebrow shape, and some very basic makeup. you could identify him in or out of jfashion
