I'm in my 30s and still go to cons regularly. Never had a problem with anyone being rude and theres plenty of other mature people to socialise with. As long as you arent cosplaying a teenage character like deku and then going to a meet with mostly teens then you arent gonna get strange looks or snide comments. Also if you are in your 30s why would you give a shit about what a random 14 year old says to you at a con.
Personally i find it fun being able to cosplay older characters, especially if my son wants to do a parent/child combo cosplay.

Most of the bootleg stalls were asked to leave and not return yesterday. Most refused to leave and carried on selling. The police wouldn't remove them as bootlegs are a trading standards issue. Apparently one of the bootleg sellers started making threats against the organisers and were accusing the security guards of being pedos this morning which is why the police finally got involved.

Half of their merchandise is bootleg and half is official. They mix the merch in with each other so people cant tell but if you can easily spot them. Its mostly plushes, keychains,wallets, bags and cosplay, if you compare the tags and packaging it is easy to tell. Also nearly all of their pokemon merch is fake. When they go to cons though they try to bring more official merch than bootlegs but their stores are filled with it. They are also very sneaky and dont post their bootlegs on social media but they do still stock a large portion of it. All i can say is their figures are official but i wouldnt support them anymore knowing what i know.

Ame and Kita cant both run each year; having a fallow year is really useful for these larger cons. Kita are not pissed at Ame for running in 2018, they never planned to. And if you go on their Twitter they knew last year they wouldn't be running 2019 and that Chibi would be in 2020.
Yeah, they're different committees and they have different opinions - that's the nature of organisations though. And because generally residential cons are "unionised" in the UK, they all learn from one another. Stop trying to dramatise things.
