Wearing lolita pieces with non-lolita outfits

Lately I've been wearing a lot of my lolita pieces in non-lolita outfits. OTKs and headdresses mostly, but occasionally skirts or blouses too.

Any pictures to share inspiration?
Anyone else do this?
What are your favorite pieces to wear, and what sorts of styles do you wear them with?

I'm a western goth when not in lolita, so I find most seperate lolita pieces work in just about any of my outfits.

I wear lolita cardigans with normie clothes all the time, the cutesy sweet AP ones look adorable with vintage 50s pastel dresses and the more mature IW/classic style ones look good with pencil skirts and blouses for the office

I wear Lolita clothing in normie outfit for work all the time, like a blouse with a regular skirt or vice versa. Can't really wear a fully Petti to an office and have it be practical, I just claim i'm wearing Lolita like this. Mainly plain sweet or Classic stuff, most people at my office just think i dress too old for my age not like I mind.

I like to wear sweet skirts with plain baby tees and camis/ tank tops in the summer. Sandals, petti, lolita purse. Normies love it, it's way cuter than Western fashion but way more toned down than a lolita coord. I haven't figured out how to make it fall and winter appropriate, I'll probably just see about getting some cardigans

I do this all the time! Too shy to post pics, but things like blouses, socks, shoes are really easy. Skirts are great too, and JSKs can make nice summer dresses. I think OPs are the hardest to un-lolify. There used to be an LJ comm for this, I think it was daily_alamode? I honestly love seeing how people use their lolita clothes everyday but I think the OTT era has kinda killed posting it, since people will just assume you're wearing half assed, ita lolita rather than wearing it as part of your daily clothes.

Start a second account for dailyalamode? I mean, we're never going to find other people who also dress like this, or more content that looks good, unless we start encouraging each other to create, share and post more content under the right tags so that we can find it.

I'd rather just tag my ootd as dailyalamode anyway, now I wonder what people were thinking when I used the brand tag but not the lolitafashion or eglfashion tags.

I have that black heart AP purse that I use daily. It survived a lot of unfortunate events, such as being thrown in the dryer during a meltdown, caused by paranoia of bringing back bedbugs to my place.
Thank god there were none, but my purse took a while to take her original shape.

I'm the same way, OP. I don't wear lolita very often anymore but I love incorporating my old pieces and accessories into my regular goth wardrobe. It really spices things up and keeps me from looking like boring instagoth thots lol.

I love rectangle headdresses a lot so I pretty much wear them everytime I wear a normie dress or skirt.
all my legwear, bags, shoes and outerwear are not exclusively for wearing with lolita either, but I wear gothic and am goth outside of lolita so this makes things much easier of course.

I totally do that with cardigans in cooler weather. It's super casual but very cute and comfy. I usually wear lolita shoes and socks and a small bow as well.

Not that anon, but I wear my headdresses with normie (well, normie to me is western goth) clothing all the time. I think it's cute. Not all headdresses are super elaborate and fancy, either. some are pretty plain. Sometimes I wear them with shorts/tights/a band tshirt too. It's cute.
