Lately I've been losing any motivation to interact with women at all because I feel like she'll take something I said the wrong way and file a sexual harassment charge on me.

And what does this have to do with cons exclusively? If you're in most ANY modern establishment they will have security cam footage, possibly a credit card charge of said person to trace, or various other things. This conversation is turning into "what happens if I am harassed in public" more than "creeps at a con", seriously it's just like any situation that if you are harrassed at you go about reporting. Yes the two can overlap in areas but you have to realize most cons sell badges, badge check, and ID people to get in. IF you were harrassed you can work with staff, the establishments security footage, and other ways to determine who it was.

Hey, I'm a guy who has hit on cosplayers at cons before. I have gotten laid a total of two times that first night, and just casually made out with some others. I have never asked a girl out at a con. I usually go with a couple of friends, which kind of inhibits my chances of doing that in the first place.

It's hard to talk to doctors about eating disorders when many of them don't know much about them outside of anorexia and bulimia. A lot of the information coming out on other ones is very new. The reason many can't find a cure is that some just don't have a lot of research on them yet.

As a dude, I remember being at a con with my sister, a female friend and her brother some years ago, and we were all cosplaying Gintama together. At some point me and the latter were walking a bit behind the two girls, and I see a bald, creepy guy with a reflex snaeking behind my female friend (cosplayed as Kagura, had a somewhat tight dress) and trying to photograph her butt (???), at which point I shout at him "what the hell are you doin?" and walk forward, he mumbles something like "I just wanted to take a picture" and runs away.

My friend was kinda freaked out since she didn't even see that coming until I shouted, but luckily nothing too bad happened.

My advice is, in the first place to avoid going alone or with just one female friend (the more people you're with the less creepers will be encouraged to do anything strange), and if you have a brother/cousin/close male friend, bring them along as their presence is probably gonna scare creepers off in unpleasant situations.

My disorder is in the DSM-V, which doctors use, and I was diagnosed by a doctor, so you're the one in denial. There are eating disorders besides anorexia and bulimia. A lot of fatties do have severe mental disorders that make them act compulsively and avoid certain thing, including their own thoughts that they know are true but are simply to painful because of x,y,z. A good example of this is cheesy potatoes lady from freaky eaters, or really any episode of hoarders or my 600 lb life. Food replaces the emotional deficiencies in their life. And they act in a protective self-comforting way in order to keep the pain they have from surfacing and to protect themselves from further emotional pain. Many of them need progressive therapy along with strict diets.


HOWEVER they need tough love, period. They cannot just do these things themselves. They need a firm hand to hold in this or they will go right back to the life they know and what they are comfortable with. They need constant guidance in the right direction, and constant reminders that their old behaviors are unacceptable. Or they will go right back to their old habits, even if they know how bad it is for them. They don't care because on the inside it feels good. And if you give these people's old habits an inch of validation they will fight tooth and claw to keep them. This is why some of the more severe cases are forced to go through rapid weightless before getting a gastric bypass. To show the doctors that they actually want it, enough to change themselves and their shitty habits.
