I'll start off with a question I asked in the last one to the anon in the mouse au chocolat(?) coord.

I find it quite hard to get a feel of size proportion in terms of lolita fashion just by lurking in shops or finished coords since males have different body proportions in most cases.

My question:
What are your meassured sizes: bust-waist-hips, height, shoulder width and maybe your weight?

How do you deal with your individual proportions to pass as a lolita as good as possible?

Where do you buy for your size? Did you encounter any specific problems?

Feedback on finished coords?

Buy stuff that fits. Honestly the shape of lolita is pretty flattering to guys bodies because it offsets our large shoulders.

I fit a lot of brands. I've got a lot of AP, a couple btssb, lief, krad lanrete, and elegy stuff. Blouses and boleros are taobao or innocent world. Shoes are taobao. Unless you're huge lolita is pretty forgiving with sizes. Except for OPs anyway.

In terms of sizing I just avoid OPs with super fitted sleeves and cuts that are shorter than 95cm because there are some things that underskirts can't lengthen without looking awful. Generally I avoid dresses with any detailing around the shoulders or going horizontally across the bust. Honestly I'm more concerned about my face and feet at this point. Lolita-appropriate shoes in Sasquatch sizes are hard to find.

Most of what I have right now is Baby, but I'm slowly adding in more VM and MM. Blouses are mostly taobao/vintage because I'm cheap. Being relatively thin helps, because my only real concern is length and whether or not I like the design.

Oh and for the remaining questions:

I avoid OPs and skirts, they tend to not look very good on me. I like Innocent World long-length JSKs, they usually look pretty good on me. Otherwise, I wear underskirts to lengthen shorter pieces. I also use wristcuffs to "lengthen" the sleeves of blouses which have sleeves too short for me.

As for things which fit me, I love longer IW pieces, and anything from Taobao which can be custom sized. Sleeve length tends to be the biggest problem for me, so I've stopped buying non-custom-sized blouses.

If you have broad shoulders, get things that emphasize the center or bottom like legs/shoes or wear a cardigan or something. High waist looks frumpy and fat on me so I go with low waist, but just try it out for yourself.

I recommend experimenting with what looks good and flattering for your body/build type and building around that first, instead of forcing a dress because you like it.

Where do you guys buy your underskirts? I need to get one for myself.

From personal experience and from looking at things like pic related. Cardigans aren't generally structured enough to not conform to the sharper angles of male shoulders. Boleros could work if the fabric has no stretch, but as a general rule I'd stay the hell away from knits.

Also finding lolita-appropriate cardigans that actually fit a man's shoulders properly (i.e. not stretched to hell and back) isn't that easy.

I would echo all the advice previously about staying away from OPs, especially short sleeve OPs. Unless you are super lucky with your build, the arms and hands can really stand out if you are a guy so short sleeves usually aren't flattering at all.

I'm a bit lucky where I can actually "fit" some unshirred AP and BTSSB, but it definitely isn't comfortable for extended periods. Most 1/4 shirring JSKs are super comfy though.

Blouses are my biggest problem because the arms are almost always too short. I do have a blouse from AP in a size L that fits my arms well but most blouses that fit my shoulders and bust never are long enough for my arms.

The struggle is real.

I would say that at first, I wouldn't purchase any mid to high end products other than things like eyeshadow and maybe a few lipsticks (you can get most of those things at the drug store to begin with; I like Better than Sex mascara but imo mascara is mascara)-things that you really want to have nice color pigmentation. You should also look into getting lipliner, bronzer (or a contour/highlight kit), highlighter (if you go the bronzer route), an eyelash curler, depending on your eyebrows-eyebrow pencil/eyebrow grooming tools, and false lashes. Imo, false lashes are a really important part of my look, because they really help feminize the entire thing.

If you want stuff from Sephora, then I recommend just sticking with Sephora brand items to start. You'll get good quality, but the price will be lower so you can learn with it more and not waste the good stuff (that's usually what they have gift set sales on, too). However, there are plenty of cheap brands that have surprisingly good product. I have a lot of high-end lipsticks, but I will say with complete confidence that the Rimmel Kate series lipsticks work better than most Mac lipsticks, and are only $4-5 each. Do some research for lists that people have compiled of "cheap" stuff that is surprisingly good to use. Nyx is another great one to play around with before you jump into more expensive stuff.

Currently I'm considering getting the L087 from Bodyline as it seems like a decent place to start but I'm 1-2cm out on some of the measurements on the 2L, but my girlfriend thinks she could easily pull some of the stitching out and adjust it to fit.

Yes, I like clothes lolitas (I'm not gay). The lolita style for boys is interesting. I like bloomers and petticoats and many ties. What is the problem? I'm 20 years old, I can still use lolita for 5 years. My size helps me be a lolita imperceptible.

Other than that I'd recommend working out your measurements and seeing if there is anything on Bodyline that fits (everything item has its measurements listed on its page, there is no consistency to M, L, 2L etc.). They're really easy to buy from and the prices aren't too bad so they make a good start.

Being a brolita is the exact same as being a lolita. Just look at any help thread on here or egl.
For male specific advice, really the only thing you can do is hope you were born with the right genes to look decent as a girl.
