Very few cosplayers are committed enough to do what it is necessary to match the character they want to cosplay.

Hestia is a good example. There will be much joke-cosplay, and a very few dedicated people who will do justice to her.

You probably won't see that many actually. 90% of con goers don't watch current anime seasons, they usually only partake in whatever 3-4 year old series finally made its way to Adult Swim. General trends in high cosplay numbers seems to favor the lolsorandom shows or over the top edgy ones that appeal to the weebiest of weebs. Think SNK, P&S, KLK. If there are any Hestia's, I imagined they wouldn't receive much attention, if any recognized them at all in the first place.

That being said, I'd definitely like to cosplay her in the year, I don't really care if I'm recognized or not, I honestly prefer having a more subdued costume.
