One 20% Off sale is still going on and another is just around the corner.

Yanners has delayed the Unicorn print again, this time until early April.

>> No.8220055

How do I take advantage of the sale? Are the prices listed already discounted?

>> No.8220078

So far I've gotten bodyline packages #1, 2, and 4 of 5. Where is 3? It's concerning. I have the matching tote for l547 now but not the dress.

Also, I got l387 in black and like it a lot. I want to get it in other colors, but I read that the chiffon and cotton parts are noticeably different colors for the blue colorway. Anyone know if the other pastels have the same problem? Or does bodyline just not understand sax?

>> No.8220110

I messaged Yan about restocking the macaron and soft cream jsks. I think you guys should message him about dresses you'd like to see back on the site.
If the customers become more involved I'm sure bodyline could be stocked with some pretty decent (if not overly available) stuff.

I would ask if they would restock the shoes I want that are all out of stock but I don't have a Facebook account or nothing. Ugh I want those RHS with the straps to hold your feet in but I'm scared they won't ever be restocked.

I would love to see the macaron JSK and skirt get restocked. I think I'd prefer to own the skirt version personally. I haven't seen it around in a really long time though so I doubt it would happen.

>> No.8220390

I wish Bodyline would carry nicer socks. Maybe sone different kinds that are actually Lolita appropriate instead of some of the junk in stock now. I love their lace topped socks, both knee high and over the knee, but I wish Yan would discontinue them in favor of nicer cotton lace ones instead. I don't want to pay $25-$30 for a single pair of socks from the big brands when I know they're gonna wear out and get old just as fast as any other sock.

If you buy a bodyline petticoat you will feel very sad because of its very bad quality.

They aren't <that> scratchy that they will ruin your tights. I have two from Bodyline, one that I bought and one that came in the great lucky pack shitstorm of 2014. The lucky pack one was pretty decent and is still going (it's a mix of multi layers of tulle and chiffon). It must be a discontinued one because I can't see it on the website.

The other one I got for like $20 or something deflated pretty quickly. It was made of a soft gauze material so no wonder. I have since sewed in some spare tulle I had in between the layers and it competes with a Classical Puppets petti I own.

IIRC some anons whom ordered the dred" (dark red) shoes have said they're the dark red color if the bodyline shoe boxes. I don't know how dark you want though. Otherwise I don't think they do a super dark red.

I own that in white, it's polyester, so it wrinkles so easily, and the elastic on the upper arms can start to get annoying after long periods. The arm length runs short too, even with the lace.
In the end, I shortened the sleeves to a short sleeved blouse and reduced the lace length on the collar.
It's about a 6/10 blouse , crinkles a little when you wear it but if you shorten the sleeves it gets to about 7/10

Ugh, it's driving me crazy how high-waisted most of Bodyline's newer releases seem to be. I have a very low but defined waist and I usually find this to be one of the few shapes of lolita dresses that actually flatters my figure. I absolutely love this, but judging by the picture, I'm afraid the waist would hit somewhere in the middle of my rib cage. Depending on the price, I might contemplate chancing it.

It's because a lot of people don't think it is very good for lolita due to shiny fabric and cut of the dress but not fancy enough for hime gyaru. I agree with both but still think it's a pretty dress.

That's it. I'd love it a lot more if I could change the trims (maybe use a stripe that matches the bunny skirts or just a solid color for the bottom, snip the pom poms, rip off the ears). If it wasn't a knit I'd be able to modify it easily but I don't own a serger and hate using zigzag stitches on knits.

So far everything has been great and fit perfectly, however the fabric covering the concealed zip on one of the jsks doesn't lie flat properly, should be able to improve it with a good iron.

Even though /cgl/ is sniffy about places like tumblr, you probably need to look elsewhere to learn everything you need to know about lolita. The old lolita handbook on livejournal, Hello Lace, the new lolita guidebook from /cgl/ on tumblr, fyeahlolita, and lolita-tips. Lolita-tips especially deals with a fuckton of questions from noobs on a budget, tags questions related to Bodyline items by their item number, and has a guide to the yen trick in her beginner's guides. I feel like they didn't plan the sizes very well. 88cm is pretty small compared to the other sizes they offer, and on most of their dresses it's the 2L and 4L that are sold out. I thought they'd offer bigger sizes knowing bigger people will buy them.

I mean, don't get me wrong. If they don't wanna cater to obese busts they don't have to, but by limiting the new dresses to 82-88 they cut out of a lot of customers who genuinely want the dresses but can't get them because they're just outside of the 88cm/don't like to wear dresses at max stretch.

I've heard it can depend on which wig you get, but I'd say overall the thickness is moderate, and I think the quality is out of this world for the price. The only colors I own are natural ones (dark blondes, browns) so I can't speak for potential bright colored cosplay wigs. Just make sure you secure your hair underneath properly with a wig cap. I could see the hair net showing up with a rush job of not making sure your hair is flat in place with no bumps.
