UM
Dream of Mamiko!

The sun is setting on a chilly day.
It's slowly getting cold and Mamiko is getting hungry.
Mamiko has found herself lost in the forest, she's exhausted!

eventually she's feels so tired that she sits on the soft ground to rest. She hears the sound of footsteps near.

Mamiko turns her head to follow the noise. A person on a horse gallops through, she recognises the figure ''it's Mr Yan!''

she's saved!

Mr Yan told Mamiko he was on the way home to his palace, Mamiko asked him if he could help her escape the forest. Mr Yan happily showed Mamiko the direction she needed to go.

Mr Yan took a second glance and realised she was much too worn out to walk back and it was very cold.

It was a much better idea to invite Mamiko back to the palace for a much needed drink and some delicious polish soup<zurek>! At the palace Mamiko was kept warm by the stove and after polishing a bowl of zurek they danced in the palace grounds.

When she came back from her dream,
she would forever remember the magical tale of being rescued in the forest.

But Mr. Yan being a pretty upbeat guy and able to take a joke is something I can respect. Bodyline still won't be burando, tough luck, but his sales are doing pretty well currently from what I can tell, so I don't see the fuss.

We've known they use a 9 color printer since how long now? Several contests ago, at least. You'll have to work with them if you want your design produced.
This is why 'concept artists' don't make good choices unless a company has $ to burn on staff to bring designs to production spec.
As a fellow artist, I ask a few questions first, then design for the media my art will be produced on, not ass-backwards (though I know how, it's a pain).

Frankly for the return (vanity 'I had my print produced by Bodyline in the amateur design contest' cred and one dress), it's hardly worth more than a few hours spent on it.

So a few anons in a previous thread wanted to know about the bolero that comes with this dress. I caved and bought it while the price was lower and the shipping was free and it arrived the other day. I can post some pics later if anyone is interested, but I'll give the scoop on how it turned out now.

The bolero is made from a lightweight velveteen kind of material. It's not very thick or plush, but it isn't cheap looking and is comfortable to wear. The construction is lovely and it fits very nicely. It came with a clip on metal chain to fasten it closed which isn't visible in the stock pictures, which is a nice touch. Overall it's a great addition to my wardrobe and worth the money on its own.

The dress is also not as hideous as it first seems. The buttons are a bit floppy and I can see them falling off given time, but the dress itself fits well due to the corset lacing at the side. The material is heavier than I was expecting and overall the dress seems sturdy and well constructed. The print is upside down on some panels and not on others, although that isn't noticeable unless you're really looking for it. The text underneath the motif of the two little girls appears to say "LIL YAN HOUSE" which makes me smile every time I look at it. Definitely not a dress I would have bought on its own, but it looks good with the bolero and is a decent, toned down dress for everyday casual wear.

www.bodyline.co.jp/bodyline/showProduct.asp?id=1006&pageNumber=3&pageStop=stop_4&noSubType=N again the stock photo is spot on, but i didnt get the tie and the buttons on the cuffs are black which i like better anyway. the thing that holds the necktie is easily removable (which is good coz i dont imagine many people to be a fan of the embroidery). the skirt is has an inner pocket and an adjustable skirt hook insert-y thing which is really nice too. definitely worth the 2499yen

What is the fabric composed of? If you are desperate, I would full out dunk it in a bucket of mixed bleach and water. Wash it properly and then dye it with a mint dye from dharmatrading. In my experience, their dyes are true to color. If the whole thing is polyester you probably can't do this though.

I only own bodyline shoes and the one bodyline shirt I had was too big and not very good quality. I was wondering if it is worth buying some bodyline pieces to wear on more casual days?

Like either l353 or l325. I have also heard good things about l310.

I'm planning on getting an atelier pierrot corset bustle skirt, but haven't had any luck finding one.

How is the quality of the items I mentioned?

Which measurement is too big? I got it in a L, which is apparently 2cm too big for my waist and 2cm too small for my bust and it's a perfect fit. Quality is fairly decent, 100% polyester but feels like a nicer one. One of BL's better blouses.

>> No.7493055

L325 is lovely. Fabric isn't the greatest and the boning in the waist is plastic but it's definitely one of BL's best pieces. Same goes for L310. I don't have L353 so no comment there.

it's better if you measure the size of your feet by cm, and then find an international shoe size chart and match the size of your feet in cms to the Japan chart. You should try to find reviews of the shoes you want though. Some of the shoes run too big or too small sometimes so it'll help get you the right size.

But yeah I'm a 9.5 and I use 255 so a 25/250 would probably work for you. Some of the shoes don't carry large sizes or don't have them in stock anymore though. Good luck, and also since you're new to bodyline, don't forget the yen conversion trick to save some money!
