I legit have a lazy eye from a bad glasses prescription that weakened one of my eyes. People always stare me down like I'm retarded or something, and it's really annoying. The amount of red in the tights throws off the colour balance of the entire outfit. I feel like if she changed the tights to white kneesocks with a black and red pattern going up the sides or something it would look pretty cute.
As for the one on the right, the cardigan/bolero thing is severely lacking in detail when you compare it with the jsk/bow/strawberry bag and just in general looks kind of flimsy and cheap. I fee like I might've liked it more if her headbow also matched the tights and cardigan thing, but not really.

I went to college with her and only recently discovered she was like... e-famous enough to be on BTB and /cgl/. It was actually weird to read secrets and see someone I actually legitimately know. The reason her skirts and dresses look weird (and so high waisted) is because she wears them above her "food baby." She is extremely apple shaped to the point of looking pregnant (to someone who perhaps didn't know her). Salopettes and bloomers and such aren't flattering on her, though I'm not sure what would be. Maybe something more empire waisted and flowy?

I think doing a loli-fied Vriska in an AatP coord, full pirate lolita themed might be awesome, and a Jade cosplay could be cool with Krad's/Dark Box's galaxy jsk. Lolitastuck Jane would be cute with a cake themed dress like Baby's Secret Cake Factory JSK.

Yeah that's why I'm so shocked to see her here (on cgl, not just an ita thread). I don't think she's that bad and this may look like white knighting (I'm not, this girl pretty much semi-stalked me my entire 4 years in college) but I am very glad she is wearing J-fashion now. She never took care of herself before lolita and fairy kei but at least now she takes care of her appearance. that's the thing though, you can make a visually pleasing coord that's character-themed. if i were going to make a homestuck-themed coord i'd make it so subtle that unless you were actually a homestuck you wouldn't be able to tell. just because I'm a fan of the characters doesn't mean I'd ignore if my coord is crap. it's important to me that my coords are good, I wouldn't sacrifice that just for a themed outfit. that goes for any fandom, really.

Her outfit is cute. Much cuter than if she were to wear some jeans and a tank top. This outfit is at least enough to shift most of the focus on the clothes rather than how unfortunate she looks (even though it's a little too overwhelming not to notice). In jeans and a tank top, she's a girl with an unfortunate appearance, but in her outfit she's a girl with an unfortunate appearance in a pretty cute outfit, at least. It helps.

While it might not make sense to you she was following a theme. She had the idea but has poor judgement when it comes to colors and matching.

The problem I find with this is that she should've based her outfit in the stuff her dress has instead of thinking everything sweets related will automatically match.

The cardigan and beret are too dark for the dress. The beret honestly looks funny on her so yeah. The bag is the wrong color. Maybe if it was of a light pink or white it'd look much better, but black has no really place in the outfit at all. Her makeup is too heavy for the theme and the thighs don't match. Black polka dots just don't match.

It's not terrible but it's not very good either.
