I have a dress kinda like this from meta that I can't find on lolibrary. It is from meta, all organdy. It has buttons down the front and full shirring on the bust/back. The sleeves are similar to this, only all organdy. It came with an underdress of cotton with the same lace on the dress along the bottom of it. I also understand why some people might be willing to pay more for it because of rarity and sentimental reasons. What I don't understand is why it's suddenly so coveted. And a lot of older dresses from major brands tend to have similar design and cuts, so I doubt many people like Cornet specifically because of their design choices. I don't get it. Basically every establised Japanese lolita brand at one point was old school/made or still makes old school style pieces. BABY's are the closest to their original stuff and MAM mostly only sells pieces that work for old school (at least the ones that look good are the solids and whatnot, their prints are lackluster) but it's pretty tough to tell the difference between the big 3 brands and most older ones if you look at their older pieces. Old school used to just be what almost all lolita looked like regardless of brand.

Probably worth saying the piece was originally only sold for £165 and with inflation that’d be £245, I’d have been fine what I did if it was in good condition (seller said there was some yellowing due to age and loose buttons) but,,
There’s no major noticeable damage but there’s some rusty looking staining that dry cleaning didn’t get out and one of the button holes was severely damaged (frayed) which I’ve managed to get patched up but at the end of the day it’s still damaged.
